    Bin them?

Sorry - but I think they are disgusting and whilst I haven't got a packet to hand to look at the ingredients, I fear they will contain all sorts of nasties. I'd be much happier with a sandwich or some HM soup.

Just like ants to a picnic...

You can always count on some killjoy like this to pop into a thread with a wagging finger.

Hey! I'd be much happier with a sandwich, myself, but I kinda figured the OP isn't really interested in my opinions on sandwiches.

  • I serve them as a side dish with chicken or sausages and broccolli
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I have a few ideas for your curry noodles:
1: make up the noodles, without the flavouring, rinse under cold tap and drain. then stir-fry quickly with some left overs and some beansprouts, mangetout etc plus the curry flavouring, to make singapore fried noodles.
2: ditch the flavouring and just pre-cook noodles, rinse under cold water and just use in any stir-fry.
3: get some instant miso, some tofu, cut wakame seaweed, veg etc, and make miso soup ramen.
4: I knew someone who used to like noodles as a sandwich filling (carbohydrates with your carbohydrates?!?)
  • I always buy the 8p value noodles and use the noodles for stir fry then have the little sachets of flavouring left over an don't know what to do with them...I just put them all in my scone mix and the scones came out DELICIOUS.

Does anyone else have inventive ways of using them up?

  • Hi guys,

I have read many threads where peeps talk about the cheap noodles that you can get for 9p from Asda etc. I know that you can get many different flavours, but my question is, if I brought some, what meals could I make? Im sure that there is a thread somewhere for this, and I know that this is probably a stupid question, but I would really like to know what I can do with them! thanks :D

  • TBH all the flavours taste the same to me!! (IMO)

I don't tend to make meals with them, but use them as cheap snacks or a lunch at the weekends. I add some diced mushrooms, spring onions, any bits of meat knocking around in the fridge and some soy sauce and chilli flakes to mine.

I bookmarked this a while ago, I often grab a pack if OH is working etc ;)

Interesting what the above link shows you can do, but I tend to only use if I want food desperately to fill me and it needs to be light as I have an awful lot of chores to do.

When I do pop anything in the fridge that needs using up in a pan(literally!) so maybe a bit of chopped onion, garlic, bacon, mushrooms, chicken-anything. Then pop to one side and cook noodles in same pan. Cheese is oddly nice on top too.

You can also use to make a light basic soup if you chuck the sachet and use veg stock granuels and grated carrot or whatever is handy.
