I did think it was a bit weird that M&S accept knickers back.

Knickers are much easier to estimate the fit on. [/TMI]

What's the difference between trying on a bra in store and trying it on at home? It will still touch your bare skin and....nipples :O wherever you do it.

How's a girl to find a perfect fit??

 Either the posters I'm referring to are men and this issue hasn't occurred to them or they're very peed off women who have spent a fortune and only have drawers full of bras that don't fit, lol. I really have no idea, this board both amuses and baffles me.

try on a bra in a shop and it will feel fine. try it on at home the next day and it might feel different. has happened to me a number of times.

when ur shoppin ur hot and sweaty... and it probably fits fine but realistically it doesnt.

    its the same with shoes....

I'm very surprised that you were not refunded the voucher in some way. When I went to use the 12.5% discount voucher I received on the 1p day I asked about being able to use the discount at a later date if I returned the item. I was told I would get the cash I paid returned in cash and the voucher value on a store card/gift card kind of thing (I didn't ask for specification). This was fine for me so I bought a top, took it home to find it didn't really suit me so I returned it. I got not only the cash I paid returned, but the voucher value too - in cash (well, refunded onto debit card, but technically the same thing).
I did point this out to the SA at the time but was told "it's fine it was a voucher that you used to pay with". So I was pleased at the service I received in M&S. This was at a different store too, so the terms must have been translated the same way in these two different stores, so obviously the interpretation of terms and conditions varies across the UK.
Maybe you were misinformed when you returned your item as in my experience you don't seem to have been at the outset.

Oh, and I wasn't too lazy to try the top on in the store either, I did, but it didn't really go with the trousers I hoped to wear with it:p. (to the hecklers not the OP)

    It's only a game

I've already returned the items unfortunately. I wasn't expecting there to be a problem, so I just took my receipt along and returned them.
Am I missing something here? You returned the items and accepted no refund or exchange? Surely you should have kept hold of the items?

I paid over 30 pounds in total for 2 bra's. 5 pounds was the voucher, the rest was on my debit card. I returned the items and was refunded the amount on the card, but the voucher was not returned like I'd been told it would be. In hindsight I probably should have asked about a refund, but I was rather taken aback by the attitude of the assistant. She was less than helpful and adamant that there was no return of the voucher, so I'm not sure she'd be very open to an exchange, but in hindsight I should have asked.
