Your going on record to say that the latest Norton runs QUICKER than Avira?

Every system is different, but from what I've found on my computers, it does. I can't comment for anyone else though and it's only my opinion!:D

I'm currently using Comodo Internet Security which is completely free, ha both antivirus and firewall. It's been pretty good for me so far, was using avg and zonealarm a while back but had some zonealarm/firefox problems with Vista that I think still hasn't been sorted by either company. Anyone used Comodo? And what do you think of it? On Windows 7 at the mo btw.

Comodo firewall is VERY good. However ~ ive never yet seen ANY report on its anti virus so I personally wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.

I would personally recommend either Kaspersky Antivirus 2009 or Nod32, used both, also tried antivir, avast, avg and others. Out of all of them kaspersky and nods32 are the best.
And to those in the KNOW all software is free. Dont remember ever paying for any of the software i got installed, including my OS.

Hi, Amazon have Kaspersky antivirus 2009 starting from £8.99 for use on one desktop with one year subscription, or £13.13 for use on three desktops with a one year subscription.

trial version is the same as the retail version, except without the code.

http://support.kaspersky.com/kav2009/install?qid=208279955 you may get a code within the box or a key on the cd, follow instructions here, how to apply either.
