Oh you would be surprised, they compare it to cheap stuff in certain shops, and then say they want to buy it, but at that point I usually point out to them that perhaps they don't appreciate the work that has gone into the item and so they may be better off buy cheap tat from where ever!0

I don't know who is it?
I reckon it is YOU for telling me that lovely nugget of information!!! Cheers mate! :T
You'd have been better to have left me in ignorance. :rotfl:
Love ya,
Takoda. MWA (that's a kiss because you were so helpful and there is no kissy smilie as far as I can see)
Oh yeah just a little bit of help back because you've been so kind to me. It is you're when you are using the shortened form of 'you are' and not 'your'.
Happy to help a friend in need :rotfl:Gosh I can sleep so much better now!
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

A customer actually used "the customer is always right" at me today, in a situation that makes no sense to me.
He wanted a radio, but was ranting how all the radios made by roberts, pure and everyone else, for that matter, have plugs where the cable goes UP from the plug. Apparently this is the 'Chinese way,' and he doesn't like it.
So he said to me, "Tell your boss to stop making the plugs in the Chinese way."
I explained that the devices are made by other companies and we have no input into how they manufacture their plugs, to which he replied, "The customer is always right, you can change them, I'm sure."
I really doubt that an international company who makes products will change their production line because my line manager asked them to...0 -

On the reverse side of people taking it out on the checkout person they shouldn't take it out on the shopper either!
I was once in blockbuster trying to pick a film. I am no film buff I like to read the synopsis on the back of the case to pick a film but couldn't because it had a stinking great sticker over the back with no information on it at all it was just a continuation of the sticker on the front that told me the price.
I approached the desk and asked politely if they had a suggestion box.
The girl behind the counter told me to tell her my suggestion. I said "I suggest you don't stick a sticker over the back of the box as I can't read what the film is about"
She began to argue with me!
First she said "Customers requested that you know"
I am sure she meant the price on the front but I doubt customers requested that the synopsis be covered up!
She then said "I should take the film home then I would know what it was about"
Finally she suggested "Why don't you take box apart!!"
LOL I couldn't believe they were arguing with me! Anyway I notice that the stupid stickers are gone now!0 -

Since this section of the board is PRAISE as well as vent - I'd like to say how great the bloke in my local Blockbusters is.
He's friendly and jolly and tells you what he honestly thinks of films if you ask him. He makes it a pleasure to go in.
Great customer service - especially with their 4 for a tenner deal at the minute.
Result.

I actually do, and I have been known to refuse to serve some customers, some people have been really critical and sarcastic in front of my stall, and when they get like that, I refuse to serve them, and I always do it with a smile, my thinking ... if they can stand there and slag my stuff off, then they won't look good in it anyway.
That is really very good of you.One of the reasons why sometimes staff are reluctant to say anything back is they think they won't get support from their managers.I have seen bus drivers spoke to like sxxt just because the bus was delayed by a traffic jam.Nothing the driver can do about it.0
