Have just received email subject: Todays Riddle - but main body is blank.
My entry confirmation was also blank yesterday. Has anyone received todays riddle please.

Not sure if this confirms the European bit in previous posts. There is midway on Caledonian road outside the prison "The Drive", according to Google street map,
its sitting under one of the markers when you seaerch Pentonville prison

Also a large part of the area was built on Copenhagen Fields.

I've not had an email from them confirming my entry, and not had anything about the Daily Riddle of the day, but I've not entered that, its just a fun thing I think.
Anyone else get a confirmation email?

Sorry, my mistake, I did get the confirmation email!:o It was the same as Melli's.
  • Found this riddle this riddle earlier today and while researching/cheating came across this thread.

Near the start someone says George Dancer is burried in St. Pauls. Actually he is burried at St. Lukes in Old Street.

I'm thinking this is why people were struggling to make the link to kensington gardens. I still cant make that link either :(

Also burried there is William Carlson who was a gunsmith, but more noteaby designed and printed typefaces.

I know someone already has the final answer but if anyone can make the link that would be great.

This competition forum looks great! Off exploring now :)

Thanks, but it's George Dance the Elder who is buried in St Lukes (HERE). George Dance the Younger (who was responsible for covering over the Salon in Mansion House) is in St Pauls (HERE) ;)

I think I have it, but could be wrong...

Picking up from Mandell Creighton. He was buried next to Duke of Wellington (I think). Duke lived in Apsley House, which is on Hyde Park Corner (Hyde Park Corner used to be called Portugal - European Drive?). Hyde Park is next to Kensinton Gardens i.e the garden. The old tree is the Elfin Oak, which was moved there by George Lansbury (MP) who spent some time in Pentonville Prison. But I could be wrong...

Sorry, only just seen above posts - I was busy researching. Doh!

I'll be really interested to see the final 'official' answer, I suspect there are many ways to end up at Pentonville Prison in this game.........;)
