type ping www.google.co.uk and post the result
easiest way to eliminate possible problems is to start with the easy ones.
Tried that and the result is:
'pingwww.google.co.uk' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Make sure you leave a space between the "ping" and the "www.google.co.uk" though, otherwise you will get the result you just posted.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -

Might seem like a random question, you don't happen to live in Manchester or Barnsley area? (It's not actually a random question!)
No Im in the West Midlands\Worcs borders. Wonder if Its a problem with BT or my router (If I ring BT they will blame the router they always do!)
Keep losing the PAYG signal now too:rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

The only 2 faults I can find are in Manchester and Barnsley. Maybe it's worth checking your line here:
http://www2.bt.com/btPortal/application?origin=ftpd_hub_page.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.portlet.event&pageid=ftpd_hub&portletid=ftpd_hub&portletns=ftpd_hub&wfevent=event.fp_start_fp_webflow&com.bea.event.type=linkclick&oLDesc=faultPlacementDsc&oSiteArea=con.mya&oPJsp=ftpd_hub_page.jsp&oPt=ftpd_hub&oLName=faultPlacementParams&oOJsp=&oPg=ftpd_hub&siteArea=con.mya
EDIT: I think that link might be for faults with telephone as well, so might not throw up anything unusual. Only other thing I can think of is report the fault to BT here:

What does typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar get you? It should be router stats, depending on your router!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Er, sorry to ask the obvious, but have you checked to see if there is a dial tone on your line?
Assuming your line is working, have you plugged the router into the BT master socket-this will eliminate any possible faults in your internal wiring.
The reason BT ask you to do this is actually to save you money. If you ask for a call out and the fault is on your side of the master socket, then this is your responsibiltiy and not BT's, and they will charge you a minimum £122 call out fee. So it's well worth excluding this possibility before you call BT.
Which model of router are you using? Is the ADSL light coming on when it's booted up?No free lunch, and no free laptop
