Evening all. Sorry didn't post again earlier.
Summermoon, I may well live with your OHs long lost twin........however he wouldn't have got up to put the kids to bed. I have given up basically which is bad but bored of arguing and moaning now. I've got myself in a downward spiral lately, everythings gone to pot and I'm struggling to pull myself back up, being able to walk across every room without standing on something would be lovely or getting an assignment in on time. I've left 2 desert pots on a shelf he had, they been there so long they would have went out of date 3 weeks ago. Sorry I know that sounds like a personal moan, just wanted you to know you're not alone. Mine also has OCDs but unfortunately none involve housework, he does lots of things for other people......I call him everyone elses hero. Be a lot easier if I didn't love him.
Kaz, I am pleased to hear he still has his job. I was wondering if you would be taking it further, but I can imagine it would be just more stress you don't need. Always difficult when you both handle situations differently but at least that is over now and you can move on, in your own way.
Right well I managed to tidy/clean the dining room and do half of the kitchen. I am going to do some of the other half in a little while, because I don't want to watch DP and his brother playing on computer games all evening.......can't just plod around in night clothes, wish he'd ask me before he keeps offering for him to stay here.
Boys been to activities thing, DS1 being reluctant but did some joining in. They went swimming after that which I might take them to do more often as they enjoyed it, they have actually gone to sleep by 10pm which is not like DS1. It's FREE swimming for under 19s so cheap and cheerful. Only unfortunate thing with FREE is sooooooo busy. Kids are left to go alone (over 8 it's allowed) so the poor lifeguards are ending up playing babysitter. I would never even consider letting a child go to a pool on their own.
Anyway, off to earn the rest of my star! One day I might be more organised...........

kazm - I'm glad it's good news and OH will be back and work and out of your hair! It sounds as if, like most men, now it's over he doesn't want to talk about it (or at least not until he's had time to distance himself from it). It's difficult when you've had to deal with so much of the fall-out not to be involved in the resolution, but I think its a general man thing. TBH I quite often deal with things like this - I have to process everything in my own mind before I can discuss it with family and friends. When my work problems started, I was discussing it with you lot while trying to avoid my family...
Hopefully he'll feel better once he's had a chance to process it all and be able to discuss it.
Right... I'm trying to work out whether I can fit all my stuff for 3 days into a 10 litre rucksack, or whether I'm going to have to take a 20l one (with a smaller one it it for daily use... )
I need to get the DW set off and finished tonight, and breakfast (and possibly lunch) made so I can avoid food on the course. I also need to pack tonight, as I want to leave here at 7am to ensure I get a parking space at the station and get to London around 8.30, which gives me almost an hour to get to the training venue (30 minutes walk away) and change into work clothes.
Plan is to wear gym kit and walking sandals to get there each day, change into skirt/blouse/sandals for the day, then back into grubby gym kit for the walk back (1hr 30 mins!)... must check the route...
I reckon I need to take 2 skirts, three vests, two linen shirts, one cotton top, underwear, one pair of sandals, smallest PJs I can find, small bag of travel wash stuff/makeup, phone and blackberry chargers, umbrella, fleece, and a t-shirt/cardigan for the evenings (or should I borrow one from the friend I'm staying with?).
Off to see whether I can fit this in and have space for breakfast and lunch and possibly an A-Z!
ETA - just realised that I must take a printout of my new role profile and details for the assessment form with me!0 -

Evening gang - just catching up before i head to bed - I had intended to be in bed before now but things are still conspiring against me!
After having my dinner I was catching up on some emails - mother phoned:rolleyes: by which time I had logged onto my freecycle email addy and there was 1054! So i started going through them while she nattered, then my friend phoned (still deleting) then NOF phoned and (still deleting) and she was on for nearly an hour bless her! By the time I came off I had done all 1054! found a couple of wanted ads that I will reply to tomorrow - maybe too late and found a couple of offered ads for things I have but never thought of offering so might get rid of a couple of more things.
Then I needed to phone my best mate and i lost my connection - twice - so i have finally caught up and will do quick replies and stars and then bed!
FFp loads of good luck vibes for DS's olympics and well done to the DS's for doing their room
dinx you musnt ever work until you have a bad back - thats not good - I hope its easier tomorrow - now I know you said the kitchen gets to you so would you consider carrying on with it tomorrow and getting more done? I was thinking if you only ever get it partially done you will always find it a chore but if you had a real blitz on it this week it would be so much easier for you from now on. does that make sense? I know we advocate babysteps and doing what you can and moving on to the next room the next day and every week you manage more but I get the feeling that you might never get on top of it that way. tell me to bog off if you like!!!Oh dear, there are a couple of down people today. I wonder how we'd do a virtual conga to cheer ourselves up albeit for two minutes?:rotfl::T:T
Hugs to everyone. Summer - have you thought about withholding 'privileges'
Summer - thats a good idea from soappie though - I was thinking of withholding feeding, washing, etc - just do for you and the kids and let him fend for himself!

Rest of Tues will get done tomm.
Had lush tea - got a huuuge £5 piece of pork from the butchers.
Just had our fourth and final meal out of it - glazed some honey/mustard/sweet/sour combo by my clever OH.
He's been on a diet for just over a week now and has lost nearly 3/4 of a stone.
No exercise but eating more regularly and ditching takeaways and beer.
Men eh?DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
No decorating done today, but another car load of 'stuff' rehomed to my auntie (thats 3 loads they've taken), also flowers & a thank you card, I was so grateful for their help.
I've got 13 bags ready for the charity collection tomorrow & 6 bags at my mums. So big de-clutter if nothing else. Tomorrow I need to do some decorating but I have the boiler being serviced & doctors for holiday injections.
Hugs for everyone suffering with the BD.'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'0 -
toots can I pretty please have my well earned star for Monday DONE!!!
DP and his brother are in the garden melting lead with a blow torch into playdoh........for something he 'needs' for his RC car (one of the obsessions, he has 18 of them) ...........they have sank several alcoholic drinks first so can see it ending in tears.
Time for bed for me I think, goodnight ladies ((hugs)) x x
