Did you pay for norton, im guessing you did, looking at the logs its deleted some things
bogoff babe, never pay for any software unless its really vital to use the software,0 -
Yes, something like £24 and that was a half price offer at PC World
.
When it expires in July I will download AVG (unless anyone can suggest anything better).
Does it look like Norton has deleted anything important? Why would it delete things anyway, I wasn't running Norton then was I?I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

My Web Search also known as the My Way Speedbar is the Internet Explorer toolbar part of the Fun Web Products suite of utilities such as Smiley Central,
will slow things down so its good that its gone ( as long as you let it reboot) and nothing else on the Malwarebytes logEx forum ambassador

There was another little box came up with "unable to delete these files", about six of them, but I can't find it now in the log, so maybe I'd better run the whole thing again?
It does seem significantly faster now though, so something has worked.

Dont bother with that old crap. Download http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx
That will sort your spyware
Download AVG and go a scan. http://free.avg.com
Uninstall a load of old programs
Best spam control is: http://www.cloudmark.com/desktop/
Upgrade your ram (memory), this will speed up your pc. http://www.crucial.com/uk/
I think you need to re-evaluate the software your proposing! Also ~ malwarebytes is a fantastic piece of software:idea:0 -
Theres the VUNDO trojan showing in the log ~
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{56256a51-b582-467e-b8d4-7786eda79ae0} (Trojan.Vundo) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{56256a51-b582-467e-b8d4-7786eda79ae0} (Trojan.Vundo) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
I would seriously suggest updating and running a FULL scan and post the log
then ~
Please run COMBOFIX
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download:idea:0 -
