I will keep this vague as I am starting to think that most of you are just waiting for us to fail!
We have today agreed a new price with the buyer of £130k so not a bad outcome in the end and thankfully he was happy to pay slightly over the valuation and meet us in the middle.
car crash in slow motion?! how exactly?!0 -
Thanks Karen for keeping this post updated, it has helped some of us (me anyway) get a better insight into the house buying/investing process.
Wishing you all the best.0 -

Is he a cash buyer? I'm quite confused if he isn't as the mortgage company won't go over their valuation.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Karen, you said yourself that you did not want to end up with two mortgages that you can barely afford, plus be in debt to the family member who loaned you the deposit.
All the advice that you received was intended to help you avoid just that.
This is a GREAT outcome for you. Get the cash off this fella, pay back the family member and say goodbye to the stress.0 -

Grab it!“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

Karen, There are a lot of us who have been supportive over both your threads, even those of us who have shown concern about the housing market. Still thanks for the kick in the teeth
