    Sorry...Pastures....didnt mean to do that.

Maybe a couple of charity shop mugs and a jar of Poundland Instant Coffee and jar of Coffeemate - in case of any callers - LL or otherwise???
I discourage callers. I am like a cat on a hot tin roof if anybody's in here. I look like a rabbit caught in headlights ... it's not good :)

They wont expect you to roll out posh coffee and luxury biscuits...I've found workmen are astonished if they do get offered anything than cheapest instant coffee and no biccies either.

You dont have to do "hostess with the mostest" routine - just dead basics thats all and that will be considered adequate...honest....
    pfft.

awww, I'm about 20 miles away... god bless google maps.
If you were closer I'd take you up on that, or if I had more time I could commit to such a drive. I am working towards going out somewhere next week, which to most people isn't an issue, but the whole unitasking thing really makes it hard to slot too much in which would seem to fit, except if I try to fit in too much I'd end up not doing something important.

Right now, my number 1 priority is picking/obtaining an entire outfit for a special occasion, which requires lot of mental preparation for going out to all those shops and all that choice :( shops and choice .... not good on the spectrum!

I'm also starting a new temp job this week, so another whole raft of unknowns. Unknown people, tasks, environment; unusual routines. So I'm trying to minimise my "other disruptions".

These two are already crowding out my brain.

I'll mither the LL in 3 weeks :)

Even if you can get someone to cut the grass for you, your predicament wont go away, you could say it's a growing problem, so may be you should tackle it from a different direction.
Get a big packet of weedkiller, It's cheaper than paying for a gardener, then drown your lawn a couple of times a year.

  • well the offer is always there!
i am not very good on computers so don't do google maps.
i work in aberdare, and go to Cardiff quite a bit so if you do want the mower for a day or to i could drop it off for you.

good luck with the finding a new outfit,i am also someone who hates clothes shopping,my friends find it weird that i prefer to do DIY on my weekends rather than go shopping.
just thought,we have a good retail park in merthyr now,it gets very crowded on the weekends though.

I'm kind of half waiting always to move .... I'm on a periodic tenancy so as soon as I get a job of 6 months or so I'll move closer to that.

And it'd be a bit mean to be weed killing somebody else's lawn!

I'll get round to phoning the LL, everything else in my life has to be a bit more regular before I do.

They're going in the bin when I move. I travel as light as I can... bought them for 50p each from Morrisons for that reason :)

Morrisons is not that far away, if you do move up here, does that mean i can have a new one ?
Someone has started another thread about landshare, that's where you let someone grow apples in your garden and then you share them.

I'm going to bed now, goodnight

How big is the lawn PN - if not huge a pair of garden shears might do the basics (ie keep grass short) until you move, pluck up courage to ask neighbour again or phone LL to do the job.

Oh and the answer to your OP is Yes have done and prob would do again.
