Read the small print with phone insurance, I had one policy that insured theft but only if the SIM was never out of your sight! It may be cheaper to add accidental damage to your contents insurance policy (which you get through a cashback site, of course).Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Id rather not claim on my home insurance though as i have a no claims bonus and I dont want to wreck that by having to claim for a mobile phone (which i am likely to do over the next year because i cant be trusted with anything breakable!)
Have rec'ed my 4th luncheon voucher, thats £12 for less than an hours work so far. Quite pleased with that, thank you again for the tip
My onepoll is up to £4.55, make that £4.75.
Checked my account and i havent taken any money out of the ATM since June (amazing for me!) since i got the exact cashback during my last shop for my weekly bus ticket and had change in my purse for any other odds i had to buy so im doing quite well. If i take 10 out for a 3 bus ticket the other 7 magically disappears, so i have tried to put a stop to that.
Have been sent an up to date statement for my double glazing, I hate the company ! As soon as my overdraft is gone, the double glazing will be getting money thrown at them left right and centre. 22.68% interest each month...0 -
Spent £5 of the vouchers and got lots of sweets and dinner for 2 the other night (also had extras for the meal added from my pals fridge), felt like free food.
I still havent found an outfit for my birthday, getting annoyed now ! I am getting my hair cut and coloured soon though, as part of my birthday gifts. Then going out for a night out
Barely spent any money last week except on my bus ticket. Hopefully get a few extra shifts next week.0 -
Got a dress ! Its lovely, I cant wait to go out for my birthday now. Didnt spend my money though it was birthday money.
Done all the washing today, couldnt get it outside to dry because the weather was rubbish.
Going to sort out the rest of my house tomorrow and clean up a bit.
Then going to my mums house for dinner.
Hopefully my tax rebate wont take forever id like to have it before the end of sept.0 -
Feeling like rubbish today. Having a hard time with the finances for this month going to have to borrow money from my mum even after she has spent so much money on my birthday which i feel awful about and asked her to cancel my hairdressers appointment and take my presents back ! She wont and said its only money and she doesnt mind. Im trying to keep track of the £10s and £20s shes giving me and the money this month to help with the bills so i can give it back when im sorted out. I hate taking money from people. Tried to access my £200 savings but its going to take a couple of weeks to hit my account which would be too late for my bills coming out.
I really just want my tax rebate so that I can make a big payment to my overdraft and stay calm for a bit. I hate debt !
Oh and for those reading who like a little bit of good news thrown in after the rants, i got asked out on a date. Unsure if im going to go yet but at least its a bit of a boost.0 -
Hi Claire,
Sorry to hear that you are having a bit of a downer. I know what you mean about hating borrowing money sometimes though it is a necessity, we've borrowed £2k from my mum and still owe her that even though she's like oyur mum and says it is only money.
Keep going it will get easier.
Superb news about the date, whether you agree to go or not it's still a nice thing being asked.

Also might have another roommate lined up for when my brother moves out (if he moves in he keeps changing his mind so i dont know whats going on!). Which is good because ill have a friend around the flat and money coming in so my debt should be away really quickly next year. Just need to get to next years debt payments.0

Got seriously bored with Dooyoo, have claimed my £20 amazon voucher and treated myself to some new Dvds (if im staying in more i need more to watch on tv!). Im also hoping to get a few dvd shelfs from ikea next month when the money is less tight so i can move all my dvds from around my house to one place.
Not spent much the last few days, birthday money has started appearing in my account, which is good because it is very much needed.0 -
Got my big birthday present from my mum because she wanted me to be able to use it for my birthday night out =D Its a lovely neckless and bracelet set with charms she thought were "me" lol. Cheered me right up!0

).
