  • Been so busy :( Money still coming in though so thats good.

Bank balance has taken a bit of a hit though through me being daft and grabbing things in the shop for lunch or dinner before work instead of preparing things. I am just too tired to bother with that the now. Also bought a couple of things for my friends/family birthdays and a halloween costume. Id reuse my costume from last year but I dont want to :P

Since the overdraft is coming to an end, or at least very close to the end, Im trying to get used to spending money and not feeling completely guilty !

Thought i'd pop by and say hi. Sounds like you are super busy at the mo, bless you. It's hard isn't it, work extra to bring the money in but every thing falls by the wayside in meanwhile....I need a day to myself (not today as it's my bday ;)) to catch up on everything.

What halloween costume are you thinking about then? xx
  • Everything does fall by the wayside, my eating habits have changed from making dinners and lunches to buying anything I can eat quickly enough to get back to work or get to bed. My home is an utter mess, not even just untidy but I feel likes dirty aswell, everything needs cleaned, cleared up and most of my clothes washed. Even my appearance has taken a hit, didnt even notice my skin is dry as a bone and my eyebrows need done desperately and i need a hair cut.

I have no time for anything though its rubbish. I cant wait til next week when I have a few days to get things done for myself instead of my bank balance.

Halloween I am going as a mermaid, not scary but fun.
  • Im going to have a positive balance for the first time in years a week tomorrow. Very excited !

My target of overdraft and credit card free by Jan seems very do-able now.

This time next year I could actually have savings !
  • I have spent nearly 100 on birthday presents for 4 people, all special birthdays. Usually I buy loads and loads for people, I love buying presents lol, this year I have been pretty restrained. Im not too bothered about my account balance now. My motivation is kinda gone from * to . and because I can see the end of my overdraft soon Im not really as determind as I was before. When the end of the month comes Ill prob become motivated again though... Seems to be my way.
  • Paid my credit card, only a little bit not as much as Id have liked but I might pay more at the end of the month. Will see how things go.

Hope everybody else is getting on well with their budgets and debt busting.

Cant wait til the end of next week and itll be payday.
  • Went a bit food daft again the end of this month. Also because the presents money wasnt accounted for on my budget (i dont know why since I knew it was coming!) So my figures from the start of the month are a bit off.
  • Ok... payslip in. I have been over paid for 1 shift by 2 hours. This shift was 6 weeks ago and I should have been paid a month ago for it. Do I do the honest thing and tell them or the dishonest thing and keep quite for the sake of a few pounds... Being the karma loving person that I am ill prob phone first thing lol

I think its a good idea - if in the future you have to argue again that you have been underpaid - they may remember that you were honest about being overpaid in the past? For the sake of a few pounds, I think you are doing the right thing!
    Paying down the mortgage:
    At 1 October 2011: £226,000
    Currently: £224,499
    Aim: 85% LTV (£212,500)
    Paid £1,500
    Target remaining: 88.89%
  • Phoned and they are insisting that I worked those 2 hours extra on this particular day. Good thing is I tried and asked them to note it down some where for the future that I pointed this out at the time. Which they said they will put in my file, if they do that or not is another story though.
