Thanks for your replies, I have another question now :D

I returned some of my order at my local store on Saturday and all the other times I have done this I have received an e-mail that night to say the items had been credited to my account but I haven't received anything this time, is this normal for sale orders?

    Thanks again everyone

    Re : Directory Returns

The 'clampdown' on 10 day returns came from Directory Management not Retail. It's not retails stock, they don't retain instore (aside of the week of sale) so its easier for them to refuse as opposed to sticker it then transfer it back to regional directory warehouses though for each item returned the Retail store recieves a bonus from the Directory. After the 10 days your supposed to return to courier and we can't exchange items either, despite what some believe!

Its the same with the 2 forms of ID. Your supposed to have 2 seperate forms but the Directory don't seem to bother telling anyon which creates a nightmare.

Customers tend to see next and assume we are one when in reality we are run by Next Plc but are run as seperate entities and it causes huge arguments and at times resentment between retail and directory and staff and in extremes between staff and directory customers who without causing offence here tend to develop a 'know it all, im a directory customer' attitude which seems to inflict a lot of them, especially during arguments

So basically, return stuff to store within 10 days from the order date on the delivery note (not always the actual "order date"). After that, use your courier. Thanks for the infor Chester85

    Yep, succintly put that its!

The problem is obviously that you could recieve your stock on the Friday and it could be due back on the Friday! If you go into store and push they could possibly ring the directory for authorisation to return but it depends on how the store has been advised

There was talk of extending it to a 28 day return, mainly pushed on by retail but directory don't want that much leeway as its hard for them to maintain stock levels and the whole logistics of refunding costs

Just bumping this up....are people still waiting on their sale orders? i've still not received anything since my first initial delivery weeks ago!! do you think this means I won't be getting anything else?

only missing a couple of items - which I assume are not in stock (bear in mind I ordered on the first time slot preview!)so I think you are correct in thinking it won't come now - although I would give them a call.

i have received nothing for 2wks, then had 5 more parcels delivered yesterday

so it seems, stock is taking a while to come through

however, i am fed up with the number of items that are missing from parcels, and Next are adamant they were sent - so far i have been billed for 3 items, that i havent received

  • Same here, nothing for 2 weeks now and lots outstanding. Keep being told by customer services that they are waiting for stock. Also had issue with the jacket for a suit not being delivered although got email saying it was on the way and a delivery note confirming delivery ..... CS said that the chances of getting this are now zero :( . Hope others are having more luck.
  • Had quite a bit myself but still got about 15-20 items outstanding (yes ordered quite a bit).

Difficulty is, three things I am holding onto may need to go back if other parts/options do or dont arrive (IYKWIM). Having said that, took two pairs of school trousers back via instore last week - purchased in June-and didn't raise any concern so at least they seem to accept them OK.

Not holding out too much hope now for rest of stuff unfortunately.
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:
