I also think some of the age 5 - 16 (is it?) I wouldnt put my 5 year old in as they are too old.. so works both ways too. Totally agree the age range is too big.

I got two items today :(

So is it better to return items to your local store then......i'm now considering a trip to my store in the next town! Does the credit go on immediately then? A tad embarrassing when I have so many items to return though.....anyone else done this with sale items please. I have always used my courier, but IT DOES take ages to return onto your account. Thanks Angel

I returned a load of stuff earlier, gets sorted there and then and recredited to your account. SA unwrapped everything aswell and said it was just going onto the shop floor.

I agree re the sizing, can be a bit hit and miss
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Just been glancing through the childrens sale again and it has occured to me that Next really need to stop the one style for girls aged 4-16. Some of the things make me laugh floral beach dresses lovely for a young girl but no girl over the age of 12 i know would ever wear such a thing. Also things like High School Musical bikinis in age 15-16, is it any wonder they are left for sale!!! I have always thought that the age range is far too wide and perhaps they should have perhaps a 4-11 and an 11-16 instead. I'd say at least 70 % percent of the girls clothes aren't suitable for teenagers meaning that at least 30% are not suitable for younger children. Any thoughts?

Have you looked at the the size guide though, as a girls age 16 is comparable to a womens size 12-14!

DD hasnt looked at the childrens section for years (mainly orders odd thing from womens section), but flicking through the sale, like you, she noticed that there was alot of older girls clothing left, espec in the designer ranges. And as they were in the girls section, the prices were alot better than those in the womens section too - Roxy Tshirts for £12, and shorts for £10 - i have one happy DD now

Next Clearance shops have upto 75% off (hate the word upto). I think thats what Next Clothes are worth as the material quality does not justify the cost IMHO - particularly childrens clothes which are vat free! anyway.

I totally agree, my daughter who is 9 and not into anything flowery, hsm, could not find anything she liked in spring/summer collection except some skinny jeans.
She much prefers Tammy or M & Co older range.
