And as for clearing my wardrobe - I have two days off work and am planning to go through my closets and sort everything out, ready to sell at a car boot sale next weekend.0

I ask because I (stupidly) left the starting bid at 99p (cheapskate that I am) and a Monsoon top (Black chiffon funnily enough - see Gok thread) which I thought mught do well, sold for - well, lets say, SOMEONE got a bargain. Similarly a Joseph Ribkoff dress (that was worth over £200) went for about £15. I'm all for bargains but I wonder if anyone feels a bit cheated when people actually want to pay so little.
Well I have a monsoon prom dress for sale listed it at £6.99 it went for £15 brand new with tags.
2 pairs of next jeans new with tags went for £20 each i started them at £4.99

Omg have you sold the cheesus loves me t shirt yet? i need it!0 -
I'm doing the same thing right now. I have a lot of clothing that doesn't fit now but will soon when I've dropped a bit more weight - but I wonder if all of it will be right for me now? some of it is stuff I haven't worn since a) I bought it b) I was living in Manchester four years ago! Does that mean I never will, or will that sequinned skirt come in handy for work parties and such?
I'm taking some Topshop beaded shrugs/boleros over to a friend's tonight - she's a good judge of what will and won't suit. She should work as a wardrobe consultant...0 -
Hi mippy,
Well done on tackling the wardrobe! Hope you;re finding the thread useful.
First, do you like it?
Do you have other coats you like better and are more likely to wear? Will it earn it's place or be overlooked for something else?
I like it, but I like a bold statement! It hits lots of this season's trends too. Belted, bold colour, plaid , big buttons!
But, I think it needs to be worn as a statement in itself, with neutrals that are not going to fight with it and with your hair back and off your face! Have a look at the blurb here!

Would it fit in with your style if worn this way?
It is a snug fit, but I think you could get away with it if you didn't pile too many layers underneath!
That's my honest opinion, given in a spirit of sisterliness!!!!!!!

Everything is a snug fit with my chest!
All my coats are bright, and I'm trying to pare down what I do have. Wow, this is all tough - I have so many T-shirts, and only abotu four pairs of jeans...0 -
oh my! here we go! i have finally got time to sort these hellish wardrobes - not just clothes but 25 years worth of belongings that need to be culled to take to my new home! :-O
The major problem I have is that for one reason or another very few of my clothes fit me, but I have just started back on a diet/healthy eating/exercise - so I'm really loathed to throw out my jeans and buy new ones just because they dont fit at the moment. Do you think it is OK to put them in a pile/bag and then see if they fit in 6 months time?
