i didnt know any of these could go into the composter.... ???
we got our composter 2 months ago, been happily filling with kitchen waste (no meat)
i usually recycle the cardboard, but if it is just as good to put in the composter then thats where it will go.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....:cool:

i knew you could put newspaper in it, esp wet is supposed to be good, but loo rlls can go in, cos will stop kids fighting over who is going to make what with them.0

You can pee on the compost too, it is supposed to be very good for it!

You can put egg shells in the composter - got some good nutrients in apparently. My dad does - got lovely compost. ;D0

i put my egg sheels round my hostas to stop snails and slugs cos it hurts there bellys to crawl over it.0

You can make childrens clothes out of adults clothes.
Find a book about pattern making
Metric pattern cutting by Winifred Aldrich is good.Or you could buy patterns .
Unpick the adult garment,lay the pattern pieces on,cut out,assemble.
A few years ago when my 2 needed new winter coats,I turned my old worn shiney wool coat inside out and used that,the wool inside was still fluffy (it had been a lined coat).I bought a cheap coat from a charity shop and made one for my daughter from it.It had been very large and not very fashionable.
Learn how to mend your clothes .I have a book called Mend it! by Maureen Goldsworthy which shows the proper way to darn,mend frayed collars and cuffs etc.
I was certainly no needlewoman when I took on these tasks but gained a lot of confidence from doing them.0
