Just seen the online registration for the 10k I hope to do has opened today!!!!
Havent yet registered, feeling nervous to do so!! Its my first real test if you know what I mean!!0 -
Hey folks, sorry i disappeared for a day or so, had a slight problem on tuesday night, in that my gorgeous 2 year old corn snake, decided to let himself out for a walk  really not good!!!! i searched everywhere on tuesday night, in the end gave up and went to bed, then had to be in Old Trafford (theatre of dreams, HA!, more like theatre of sweaty pants! lol)yesterday for a HMRC thingy, finally got home and resumed the search with the help of my extremely snake-phobic brother and daft dog, who's main contribuion was sitting on my freshly changed bedding and watchin us do all the work
Anyway, after an hour of clearing everything imaginable out of my room, desk, chair, pc, guitars, amps, bedding, mattress, bed base, dvds, tv, wii, there was still no sign of little Cornelius, so we agreed the time had come to tackle the two chests of drawers, as logic was screaming in a very panto-esque voice "he's behiiiiiiind them", well as soon as i turned round i spotted a face looking out at us from behind my complete father ted boxset lol. The little monster had been sat 8 inches from his vivarium watching us dismantle my room! 10 seconds later he was back in his house, wondering why his newly opened window had been gaffa taped shut *:p bwah ha ha haaaaa*
After all the palarvour i figured a nice bottle of rioja was in order, and i fell asleep watching sex and the city lol. But it means i have now been the proud owner of a garmin for 12 days and STILL not had chance to actually use itOn the plus side, being on diabetic dog duty does mean that i'm getting used to being up at 6am instead of 7.20am, so maybe once my parents relieve me of her i'll start morning running????

Reporting in another run - only 4.1m today though. Legs feel heavy for the third run of the last four
Did some good miles (step up each week) with speed improvements over the previous 3 weeks (including the race) and I'm beginning to wonder if it is catching up with me?
Today was 4.1m in 41:54 (10:10/mile pace) but a couple of weeks ago if I had pushed I could have done it 30 seconds a mile faster (think I almost did in one training run), though today it felt hard work and I didn't seem to have any more gears to step up toAnd comparatively it wasn't that hot today!
Advice from those that know running better than me appreciated on this one. Do I battle through? Keep the mileage down for a week or so?
Total for the week = 16.4m.0 -
fair enough
ooooo im glad your around becky, i completely forgot to give you the details for my training plan the other day.
Training days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. And i'm gonna have to go from walking (never actually got up to running more than 1k, lol) to 1/2 marathon by April. Think you could sort me out???Debt@LBM1=£4050 1st DFD 27/08/09Debt @LBM2 =£14,469.97 2nd DFD 14/03/2018 :T
