@ Rich - who? I can point you in the direction of Sarah Allen who can answer those questions. Unfortunately I don't know enough about my club, shocking as that is.
I imagine Matthew Parris is still there - he's the Times columnist and fastest ever MP to run a marathon in 2:32! I'm sure hes still a HHH.
And Dave Glassborow was actually the fastest 1500m runner in the world at age 15 (a long time ago now!). What makes that more remarkable is that he was 15 at the same time as Steve Ovett!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Good run Becky, I hate you for running whilst poorly far too spritely
Just been on 7 mile run, legs were feeling heavy from last night but I still managed to knock about 3 mins off my last 7 mile time which I did on 30th July!0 -
Becky, I should think Rich will be drinking a cuppa, having showered and everything by the time I cross that line :rotfl:
I'll keep an eye out for you. Just hope I don't accost too many females loosely fitting your description on Sunday
Hi Evab - good runs there!
Rich - I don't think I've ever seen Matthew Parris at club hq, but that's not to say he's not been there. We do have some older runners who I never see at the sessions but see at races. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -

You're always going to get bodily grumbles when you're asking it to go through a range of motion that its not used to doing regularly.
Fitting in as much walking as you can around the training will also help in strengthening the infrastructure.
Its all temporary though!
Yup im getting plenty of those grumbles probably because i have a sit down office job. However I have dusted off my old bike so i can get some cross training in. Once i get upto a reasonable fitness level I will look into getting a road bike to go to work on as dont fancy running 10m there and back a day epecially as I start early dont think GF would be  at being woken at 3am.
I forgot to say I tried one of those new(to me) lace up methods on my run yesterday and my runners felt much more comfortable and secure.:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -
