Ahhh there you are!!!
Glad to hear you're keeping up the runningAny race plans coming up or just into training mode at the moment??
Chat energy - from coffee and running
Becky, I cycle to/from work and bring in coffee and I still snarl at colleagues before 10am
The only race I have planned is a club one on Sunday. Wimbledon 5K. Then it's all marathon training til October, although I probably should fit in a half in early September.
Maybe I should do a long run when I come back from the 5k, or that is a bad idea? The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
Yeah but KYCU I've been running for over a year now - and I've been faster so its easy for me to churn out miles at that pace since its roughly the pace I ran a whole marathon at in April! I certaintly wasnt anywhere near that fast in the first 6 months of training - it takes time to get your speeds up!
Just keep chipping away and you'll get there0 -
Wimbledon - Belgrave Harriers race??
We're planning on doing that!!!0 -

I find it fairly had to relax when im running its my ankles and shoulders anyone got any tips?.[/QUOTE]
Keep at it!
You're always going to get bodily grumbles when you're asking it to go through a range of motion that its not used to doing regularly.
Fitting in as much walking as you can around the training will also help in strengthening the infrastructure.
Its all temporary though!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Oh no! You going to be at Wimbledon on Sunday? *faint*
I'll be in club colours, Herne Hill Harriers (black and red). I'm also very confident I'll be the last HHH to cross the finish line
Rich, I'm aiming to do a tempo run on Friday evening (not sure of the mileage as the plan is at home), so I wouldn't run on Saturday.
I really do need to start doing the Wimbledon parkruns as I signed up many moons ago and have not yet beenThe 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
What time are you looking for Poor??
I'm hoping for about 26 mins but I am still a way off peak fitness so we'll see!0 -

Oooo you're a Herne Hill Harrier - I'll have to pick your brains on whether any of the old boys are still around!!
Are Dave Glassborow, Matthew Parris, Nigel Willis still kicking around?Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Becky I'm hoping for 25 mins, but I'll be happy with 29. As long as it's under 30 mins
If you see me please say 'hi' and 'shift your aris woman!' :rotfl: For ID purposes, I'm 4'11, black with shaven head, wearing club colours, with a hanky in hand as my nose drips like a tap when running .
@ Rich - who? I can point you in the direction of Sarah Allen who can answer those questions. Unfortunately I don't know enough about my club, shocking as that is.The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
Cool you should be about my time then - I'll resist the urge to trip you as you zoom past!
Well you've seen loads of pics of me, but I'm 5'6 very fair and have curly hair so say hi, Rich is a silver fox but unless you see him at the start you wont see him again till the end - hes after about 18 mins I think :eek:0
