    Thanks for the replies.

We always go when it just opens as its quiet then and easier with the wheelchair and they are always stocked up well. I am lucky that we have 3 close by.

I LOVE Aldi but it's true that they often run out of stock quickly and the queues at the tills are long. Despite that, their stuff is great and surprisingly good quality. I get quite a lot of household stuff from there - toothpaste, mouthwash, bin liners, softner etc. It always brings a smile to my face when I come to pay because it's always so cheap! :D

I love Aldi becuase of the rate the cashiers put stuff through. Even when there is a queue you fly through because of this and they always open another checkout if there are more than about 4 people waiting. Drives me up the wall in other supermarkets now when cashiers put items through at a rate of about one a minute whilst catching up with their mate.

i agre, i like it when i go to aldi as it takes a few minutes to get served whereas in morrisons or another supermarket it takes longer as the cashier is scanning at a speed which the customer can cope with or they talk whilst scanning or do both which can slow the cashier down as they're not concentrating on the job,

are you a store assistant or higher position, i left for a few reasons really, 1 being that i was told they try and recruit from within and the next thing they've employed a numpty to be in a higher position than me(i think the role was deputy store assistant), id been there 3 or 4 months and i was thinking maybe they would have asked me 2 be 1, another thing that annoyed me was that id be on the checkouts for 8 or 9 hours straight(my feet hurt as i stood up as the chair was crap) and the other reason was that i didnt like the area managers attitude towards me when we did 1 stock take. They are good to work for or my main store was and the other stores i worked in as they had just had a refit,

I am a store assistant. I couldn't do a managers job to be honest with you, they work so many hours and then some. I like being able to go in, do my job and then leave again and not have to worry about anything. They do do a lot of recruiting from within but you do still get the high and mighty types that come straight from uni into an area manager position but I laugh so much when they start their training instore as a store assistant:rotfl:Many leave again after doing the skivvy work:T

I use them less they costs more than they use to, they have a very basic range no good if you have picky people, fair enough when you been there once you know that, but definitely prices are not as good as it use to be.

I tend to only go in for offers and even they arent as good as they were
