Its good isn't it. I try to do as much shopping as possible in Netto, Lidl and Aldi... in that order. I'm always surprised how much I get come out with for so little money. And its great quality too I find, I think people that shop at the big 4 supermarkets are robbing themselves.

  • Wow, that's really good! I really do wish there was an Aldi closer to me!

i have had the plums and cherries and they are lovely, ready to eat, sweet and juicy though will keep unlike asda or tesco when you have to wait a week before they ripen if then

I brought two big shopper bags full of stuff for around £30 too. I am a big fan of the no-frills supermarket. Most of the fruit and veg are locally sourced too so even better!

My biggest gripe with my local ALDI is that the car park is virtually full now with......... bargain hunters ;) This time last year, I could get in and out within 20 minutes on a good day. :) The good news has spread.

I've had the cherries too, they were lovely. I like most of the hams - very little fat, usually. I get the sensitive face-wipes for my MIL - she uses them infrequently, prefers soap, but if her face feels a bit tight, she likes these.

They do seem to be like that dont they. I have 3 Lidls near to where I live. I dont use one very much so dont know much about it. And of the other 2, one is great and always has good stock levels and a nice tidy store, and the other is variable on both those things. I use it because its closest and easiest to get too. I still really like it though and much prefer it to the other supermarkets in the area.

I LOVE Aldi but it's true that they often run out of stock quickly and the queues at the tills are long. Despite that, their stuff is great and surprisingly good quality. I get quite a lot of household stuff from there - toothpaste, mouthwash, bin liners, softner etc. It always brings a smile to my face when I come to pay because it's always so cheap! :D
