This sort of thing happens all the time. Some ex ppartner's think the absentee partner should pay for practically everything even though they are the one's who decided not to be married or together anymore.
It makes me mad as I brought up 2 kids myself after divorce in the days when maintenance was a pittance. i got £7.50pw for each child when he decided to pay it. this was in the days before CSA but on a court order.
From what I see, hear and read these days most dads/mums who are absentee parents do make an effort to pay for their kids upbringing but are getting ripped off right left and centre whilst their ex-partners are living the life of Riley. Not many declare all their maintenance either.
If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

Income support is different now - it will only be the amount for her - any other money for the children comes from tax credits. Not sure how £100 per week is the correct amount for IS.

    Lone parents:
    Aged 16-17: £50.95
or depending on their circumstances: £50.95
    Aged 18 and over: £64.30
    Dependent children:
From birth to day before 20th birthday: £56.11
Most families in receipt of Income Support receive support for their children through Child Tax Credit. A decision will be made on transferring the remaining cases in due course. To find out more about Child Tax Credit.

I think they are both as nervous as hell, which is understandable. Not sure how things will pan out at the moment they are communicating via email. As for them both actually getting to meet each other  best not rush these things.

    (I'm also happy but nervous)

How old is the child and how long has it been since they've seen each other?
I've now gone nearly 4 months because PWC has been making it difficult :(
