Before you all go ringing the benefit fraud hotline the DWP and CSA generally work hand in hand.

Not any more. CSA just send the money now, there's no contact with the DWP computers to say how much they're sending, when they're sending it etc. It's up to the person receiving the money to declare it, just like any other income.

    On reversal of this

In regards to the NRP or even the NRPP would they work with DWP computers to see if benefits are being received?
  • Of course child support doesn't affect housing benefit at all now.

;) or tax credits, and from next year (IIRC) it won't affect Income Support either.

Does this mean that no matter how much child maintenance the PWC receives, he/she will still get housing benefit if they do not work??

And also same question about Income support??

Child maintenance is disregarded when working out housing benefit, the Income support part hasn't come into force yet. So not sure how that is going to work out.
