Went out for my first run in over six weeks today :D

Okay so it was only 15 mins but I power walked for 25 afterwards - had to take it easy because I'm full of cold...

Anyway, am excited about paying off more debt next week on payday (25th) - think I will pay £100 off the CC and see where leaves me at the end of month, will also put some money into my spare account so I dont end up so short at the end of the month like this one :D

Also did a good deed - bought a dongle then my free internet came back (doh), am contracted in for 18 months so am sending it to my very poor sister to use until I need it (which may be never) on the proviso she doesnt go over the 3meg (which would be difficult the amount she uses the internet anyway ;)

Should allow her to get her ebay business back up and running and make some extra dosh and I didnt have to buy her a birthday pressie = very good all round :D

Oh and she loved her wedding pressie - tickets to Longleat :D

    Morning all! :D

Not sure anyone is reading but hey :p

Got some small running done on the weekend but nothing more than a mile or two - was very coldy and snotty (yuck!) so was happy just to stretch the legs a little :D

Am plannign on going out tonight on my way home from work to have a little crack at 4 miles...also Thursday is payday so need to sort out a budget then and book some races and some train tickets - got supernoodles and veggies till then to eat :D

    hello there!

congrats on getting out for a run. Just chipping in, as I need to start up again running this week, after taking quite a lot of time out for a shin to heal up. I need to train up for a four mile race in mid-July, and would like to get a little faster and longer... Good luck with the four miles!

    Hi Green :D

Check out the running thread if you're interested or just ask me some questions if you have any :D

I've had 6 weeks off so I know exactly where you are at - its tough to get going again, but it should snap back in pretty quickly :D

Also if you've had bad shins (I had a stress fracture during my marathon build up) try some sorbathane insoles if you've not already got them - they are magic :D

Oooo while i'm on it - one idea might be to map out a 4 mile course - run what you can and walk the rest of the way - then you'll know the distance from the start and know how much work you have to do :D

Morning Becky, are you getting over your cold now? Good luck with the run tonight. I'm sure you will get back to where you were with the running pretty quickly.

    Thanks Snags :D

Yeah getting there - its okay to run with a cold but nothing too tough is the idea (great a good excuse to loaf off :p)...

Well done on the run yesterday - sorry I missed everyone in Leeds - we did look but there were soooo many runners and it looked cramped at the turning point
