  • Our steam cleaner cleans ours well but other than that I'd soak it in a solution of soda crystals which works well

    Hi Kataratarina,

I use Astonish on mine and with a bit of elbow grease it comes up really well.

This thread has more ideas that may help:

  • My husband did ours with the jet washer (and it needed it!) He took it off at the hinges, good as new!
  • Not very OS but i used mr muscle foam spray (its orange) and you spray it, leave for 30 minutes and wipe clean, it smells but works :)

The only thing that seems to clean mine is Bar Keepers friend. I get it from Lakeland (we are lucky enough to have a shop nearby) and its fantastic.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Dissolve some cleaning soda in some boiling water, take door off and leave soaking overnight. It usually cleans up well in the morning. The soda dissolves the grease - no scrubbing needed.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi all,

I'm hoping maybe someone will be able to help me with this :)

I cleaned my oven yesterday and it all came up lovely except the glass door which, for the life of me, I just couldn't get clean. It has brown staining over it which looks horrible. All I was using was soapy water and a scrubber so I'm thinking I need to get something a bit more powerful.

Does anybody have any suggestions or product recomendations that won't break the bank?

    Many thanks in advance :)

When mine was really bad last year I used my glass hob scraper and cleaner and it brought it up a treat, I now just use the hob brite liquid on it once a month and it has stayed nice and clean and sparkly :)

Neat stardrops and a microfibre cloth works fantastically, you may need to soak the grease in the stardrops for a bit. I have no idea the last time the glass was cleaned on my oven when I moved in - it was caked on, but it worked on mine :)
