You have no right to anything other than a refund.
People like you are leeches. Its unfortunate, but you can be assured tesco will record it, investigaate and recall if necessary.
Surely you contradict yourself a little here! if the issue had not occurred they would not have to bother driving the 20 miles or so to alert the store of their problems and incompetent suppliers who are obviously unable to package foods to the required legal standards regarding food stuffs.
Also the prepared meal was un edible.
If you get offered vouchers in compensation, flog them on e-bay if you dont intend to shop there again.0 -

No one pack of Veg was unedible so he gets a refund for it. he could claim for the costs of returning it but he has a duty to minimise his losses thus he could have easily posted it instead or let them collect it reducing the loss.0 -
There is a process that the customer service desk is trained on in store if anything like this were to happen. I would recommend that you take it back to a store with your receipt if you still have it. It doesn't have to be the store you bought it from, but it can't be a Tesco Express, unless you bought it there. Don't scream and shout as soon as you arrive, because that is the quickest way to only just get a refund. Take it to the CSD, explain the situation and let them know you would like to speak to the duty manager. Stay calm and collected and I'm sure you will get more than just a refund.0

Screaming and shoutings also the quickest way to be removed by security0

I've just eaten an ice-lolly and guess what I found in the middle of it? A
6 inch piece of wood!!! :rolleyes:We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -

I bought a packet of rice from Tesco and found a fly inside. I emptied the packet, sellotaped the creature to the packet and sent it by post.
I received a £10 Tesco voucher for my trouble.
Hope this helps.0 -

32mins for Linas to step in..... I can't disagree though - if the OP's true intention is to profit from an error, then go ahead and seek the vouchers. If he is moral intentions are to prevent this happening to others, then speak to your local trading standards and let them take it up with the store to ensure it is investigated.0 -
How ridiculous the OP is being.
So a little bit of wood is found in a packet of veg - BIG DEAL!!
He says he won't shop there again WHAT?? Why?
In life, things happen, things go wrong. Does he think Tesco deliberately put a piece of wood in the veg?
He wants compensation?? For WHAT? Maybe he was traumatised by seeing a piece of wood! Poor Dear!
Totally ridiculous, compensation culture whingeing.
If I was in Tesco customer services I would tell the OP to get a life!0 -
which is why, dear whitegoods, you're not in customer services, which exists to provide a service to customers, but are a whitegoods engineer and exist to rescue those of us at the mercy of our washers, TDs etc:p;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
