Starting BOTOX business - any nurses do this?

My background is nursing and I too have completed my Botox and filler courses with KT training on Harley Street. Which I highly recommend.
Whilst on this course I met a doctor who now does all my prescriptions for me. Like someone on an earlier post, he phones each client before prescribing and follows them up later. He is quite (and appropriately I think) particular about the whole thing and has been helpful answering questions I might have about treatments.
If anyone is interested I could always pass on your email address to him to see if he is interested in doing the same for you. I think he helps out with 1 or 2 other nurses so it won't hurt to try.0 -

I think if the client realised the risks they are taking by having medical treatment prescribed by a remote prescriber they would be less keen. I wonder if they all know Botox is a prescription only medicine?
I am also amazed that someone said Dentists offer the service! In the NHS dentists can only prescribe medicines from a dental prescribing formulary which would certainly not cover Botox.
I doubt the pharmacists dispensing the Botox realise the prescription they are issuing is for a patient who has not been seen by a doctor.
If I knew that I would be unlikely to dispense the prescription.
Pharmacists know who is writing the prescription, how they are qualified to do so, how long they have been able to do so and what if any outstanding concerns there may be about a prescriber.0 -

I am keen to know how much the botox actually costs? where it is ordered from? and how people have set up their buisness ie rented a room in clinics- and how they have gone about this. Also how people have identified a Dr that is happy to do the prescribing. I am a v100 prescriber- which is the basic course and does not include botox ;(
Many many thanks
Not a great idea to promote your personal email address for all and sundry to see.;)0 -
I am an RN looking into the botox business, I have looked at the courses required but would like a bit more info from anyone that has gone into this field about where to begin, insurance, supplies etc.0

Training - recommend KT training in London.
Insurance - Costs about £600 a year.
Botox is a POM medicine. This is a grey area because you either need to be prescriber or get a prescriber to do it for you. At the moment, the law is the contact does not have to be face to face.0 -
Paul,
You seem to know everything!- I am doing the prescribing course at work at the moment so I can prescribe it- Does this mean I can order the botox as well as this seems to be a problem for people!0
