I got a phonecall today from 02030020312 saying I had been selected to win a phone, and which phone would I like - samsung, sony or iphone. I went along with it, until it came to "only £28 a month". Apparently it was a discounted package I had won? But the talk of bank accounts made me wary. I was wondering if this phonecall was legit or a scam? Thanks!
Deffo a scam KatieJane, sorry. I have been selected to win at least two phones every week for ever (Well it seems like it) :mad:I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. Just wanted to check if this competition/page is legit as "Aldi. UK" with only 747 likes and no contact details seems a bit suspicious to me:

^^that is definitely a scam. This is the authentic Aldi UK page with 1.5 million likes. https://www.facebook.com/AldiUK/
Ignore the fake one, it will be a like-farming scam0 -
Also, especially with the bigger companies, the blue tick beside the name is confirmation the company is the real thing - if you compare the two Aldi sites, the first does not show the tick, the second does"If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. Sorry to bump this thread up again but there are new scam letter's going around just recived this letter through the post from the nonmination bureau stating I've won £7,5000 yeah right it' states to call a 090 number that cost £1.60 a min for 6 mins or six text msgs for £1.50, at the back of the letter the postcode does not match the correspondance of the letter however on a quick google streetview search I found it's relatied to a company in heartfordshire called Strictly Games Ltd in Ross on Wye.
Watch out for the letter I put mine stright into the shredder.0 -
Received the second letter in a row from
PUBLICATION BUREAU GB& NI
PO box 224
Herefordshire
HR9 9FN
It is addressed to my recently deceased father:sad: stating an ID number and that he had won anything from £1000 to £20,000
it asks to call or text on 09061593319 costing £1.50 per minute times 6 minutes. also asks for SAE to same address. At bottom of letter gives a number of 01989760533 for any "technical queries"
I assume this is a scam? so have ignored it and anyway it isnt in my name.
At the bottom it says
"by law we're obliged to issue all 6,021 prizes if claims reach us in time with winning ID numbers. The minimum win is £25 . Cheques will be sent within 28 days of claim
I google maps the address at the bottom of the letter which is green heys walford road herefordshire HR9 5DB and it comes up with several scammers at same address which are Strike Lucky Games, Unclaimed prize register, Macintyre and Dodd ,The Prize Registry. Have reported it to Royal mail scams and hereford police0 -
i recently received an email in my spam folder, i always check it just in case and it said along the lines of congratulations, you have won a £1000 m&s giftcard, please click through to confirm your address, i thankfully took a double look at the senders email and it was from NOS pepsi? i searched the email address and nothing came up apart from pepsi cola or nos products, i deleted anyway, but just in case someone gets something similar as i'd hoped it was a win from a comp i'd entered but seemed too fishy to meWinnings 2017 - adventure outdoors book, £25 cheque, Aden & Anais muslins, Dinner at La Bonne Auberge, £5.70 TCB

Hubby received what appears to be a too good to be true unsolicited mailing from nspco saying he’d won a cash prize for taking part in a telephone survey. You have to phone a premium number 09061 573203 or text or write. Digging further in small print it’s come from Wye Valley Promotions which digging around turns up being fined by one of the regulators in 2014...take it mailing should go straight into the shredder....0
