I have seen a job I could apply for - different to what I do now which would use my spreadsheet skills, it would be full time BUT it would be work at work mostly. I wonder if I should apply...the increasing pressures being put on people in my profession is daunting. I might even have time for a social life - and meet people with whom to have one with...

Don't for one minute think that you'd just work at work... I seem to work 24/7 and I know my team put in a lot more hours than they're contracted to (I spotted several of them on line at times today)... and as for the social life - I don't think you'll necessarily find this at work, and if you do, the work politics come with it  However, if you'd prefer to play with spreadsheets than teach, then go for it!

greenbee I am 90% sure there are no lymph nodes in the lower half of the leg just in the thigh.....so seems a bit odd if she found one on your calf. Might be worth getting it checked if you have a lump in that area especially if bruising has occured after it being rubbed. If it was a blood clot she shouldn't have rubbed it really.

Thanks - I was worried that a lump might have been a ruptured muscle (although I'm not sure I've worked that hard :o). I can still feel stiffness right in the middle of the calf when I walk, so it obviously wasn't the same thing causing the problem as she managed to locate. I'll talk to the person who used to do my sports massage (I really wish she'd start it up again, as I can't find anyone else nearly as good!) and get her to check it out. I'm not worried about the bruising, as I bruise very easily and know what to be concerned about - it's not bad enough to need massaging out.

I've walked to the shop and bought a few essentials. Forgot the milk (I don't use it, but need some for my parents), so I'll have to go back tomorrow - it's about 3000 steps if I go the short way, but I'll try to summon up the energy to take a longer route in the morning! I also bought a magazine and a DVD so I now have an excuse to do nothing this evening :p although I might have a bath later...

Rose - it IS kind of you to help your neighbour, and hopefully it will help you to become more confident, get out of the house a bit more, and maybe get more exercise (if you trust your neighbour, and she's with you when you shop, hopefully it'll get easier for you do deal with that too). It's a bid step for you and we're all very proud of you!

ooh got my energy monitor on loan from the library. Only cost 80p to reserve it!
I have to monitor use without it for a week then run it and I can see what sucks up all the juice....
Although I suppose I already cut down - not much TD use, WM overnight, no DW and the standby saver thing that turns off the TV and DVD etc...

pigpen sorry but I had to giggle at the girls wanting to give evidence and needing a new outfit - that sounds about right for teenagers - bless them for being prepared to stand up and do the right thing. Thats great that Hazel is looking for food and attention - I think you are right keeping her restricted she might bump into things and scare herself or do herself an injury - its early days - gentle cuddles and love from me.
Are the LO's getting over the shock now?

The little ones are fine today.. it was just the innitial shock at seeing her.. plus I didn't think she would be coming home last night so I'd not prepared them, but they've drawn her pictures saying they love her and DD4 has barely left her cage all day (apart from when she was out and i had to promise I'd look after her)

Toots/Soapppie My statement is wrote out rough and will write it out properly shortly. Its not very long and just concerns me describing a financial procedure. This happens first thing while going on shift by the person that is the handover person that day. Which was me that morning. All monies ie petty cash and client monies kept in individual locked cash boxes are counted and checked correct and book signed. I did not go back to them that day as I had no reason to.

Have cleared some garden rubbish and about to do a HHI.

I know it's Saturday evening, but I've only just got back on the site, so I'm reporting now that I have earned a star for Tuesday. I'm oh-so-close on a couple of the other days too, and if I can get to finishing those tomorrow, great - but I knew it would take me a bit more work to catch up after missing a few weeks, so if I don't get anything done tomorrow, that's okay too.

Good Boddy that you've written it in rough. Make sure you write it out properly this evening. Then it will be off your mind xx

I have my best friend up the road's grandson here this evening. He is 12. He came so that DS could sort his laptop out for him. It is now sorted. They are now in the kitchen and the 12 yo is showing DS the website he's set up that gets people to put in their username and password for a particular game. I'm shocked I am. That a 12 year old is so devious - he then uses that username and password and steals all their stuff in the game .

    I'm just glad it's a game!

I have told them I don't want to know anymore! Though I'm smiling inside at his ingenuity and the gullibility of the people that do send in the details.

I am not condoning crime here btw. I feel I'm caught between a rock and a hard place...
