For what it's worth BOB if I send MR TAXI shopping (which I don't) he'll buy anything without checking prices or offers. He has no idea about prices. It must be a man thing.
Stomach blindness i call it- if its in his mind to eat, then in the trolley it goes:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Nothing much to update today.
Had a day out in my fav place Skipton - belated anniversary trip. Took DD with us-fatal mistake as she spent quite a bit of budget, but it was a lovely day.
Guess what Mr.B bought? Two pieces of topside beef for a tenner ( see even on trip out he thinks of stomach) he thought it would be nice to cook them- meaning me! They were a bargain though and will make 4 roasts and sandwiches as well.
Folks are looking forward to kids going back to school and i am looking forward to Mr.B going back to work- it will be cheaper and i dont have to work hard at entertaining him. Footy usually does for entertainment, but that usually requires mates and a four pack, with snacks that is a dear do! lol
Off for a further catch up.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Oh my word Bob - it doesn't stop for you, does it! Glad you had such a good day out at Skipton tho - I was prattling about Skipton a little bit yesterday, I think its a wonderful place. And its at the head of the Wharfedale Valley, which is the throat chakra on the whole leyline that runs from the south of France to the tip of Scotland. Lovely stuff.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Remember the character who gets sent shopping by his wife?
'Did you get the Bread Darling?'..she asks.
'Even better than that'..he says..'I got a spade, a waistcoat for the cat and a footpump!':rotfl:

mr el goes back to work tomorrow i have to admit it will certainly be cheaper when he does ...i just dont know where he thinks the money comes from ....and then he has the audacity to say i want savings ...yeah m8 so do i but we cant get them if we keep spending ...
i tried to talk him into paying a bit extra off the mortgage(when we were df) but he is just so not interested0 -
Good luck with the training of Mr El re savings and debt busting!
Can you set up a small savings account and put spare change etc into it (stuff you won't really miss) and then every so often lob a bit onto the mortgage?
