  • OOh eck Pepe.

Sorry not been on folks, have had a busy week at work and DD2 now has Swine flu, she is on the Tamiflu tablets and is just about coping...i wish i could take it all away for her. That with diabetes is not fun to manage, DS has been a trouper looking after her all day whilst i have been out earning a crust.

Budget wise have now paid off one credit card, so balance has gone down by £600 have transferred money into Mr.B's account cos he is a !!!!less effort..grr!!!So i am down by a bit more dosh(£300:o)..Cripes any more ideas on how to deal with him would be welcome...answers on a postcard please.

We are hoping to visit dd1 over half term, so just cost of petrol to Cornwall and back as well as food...i reckon that will be me coughing up there- and not the Tamiflu kind:rolleyes::rotfl:

Just had a realisation as to why i am skint- the fact that i haven't used a credit card for over 5 months:j and pay cash for it all ( and Mr.B)am overpaying on things as well. So at least i know the reason why and was worrying about living up to dosh coming in..dumb eh? Well i am dumb anyway, reckon it is Turnip head syndrome..:D

Manic Friday or what? Bob x

    fantastic news on busting the a s s off a card..go you!!!!
Glad you realised why you were skint ..Imagine how rich you'll be when it's all gone.
The break away sounds good xxx
  • Well that's what keeps me going, i made a decision not to use credit ages ago. I have had one for emergency and balance transfers for 0% last year as you know. I have made a few gaffs but aim to sort these out ASAP.

DS has been a superstar today, he has sorted out her insulin and made sure she checks for ketones etc. He has also tidied up for me...If only his dad would take lessons then i would be well on the way.lol

You have done great with the cards as it's hard to adjust to not spending on them AND also paying it off while still paying everything else out.
  • It is hard, but that's part of the journey isn't it? I used to put the savings away now it is payments...it does grate a bit though at times.Good job everyone on here is so motivational- it keeps me going.

Sorry to read that DD is ill - hope it doesn't linger too long for her (or for you, for that matter!).

I agree totally motivational on here...there are so many ideas all over the board I drive myself dizzy..lol

I've got over the fact that we have nothing spare now and am happy to throw everything at it..just to get rid of itall.

Had to laugh at DH the other day..we are getting a tax rebate and I said I would take the next years payments on account out of it and he said What is the best thing to pay the rest off...he usually leaves everything to me and only half listens....lol..so was amazed when he was asking whether it would be better on this and that...he had actually been listening..lol
