    Which i have done more times than i care to mention Z. I don't think i learn either.It's so depressing at times..think i am just having one of those days.

    I will definately keep it in the pot then even if it will be a frozen one that i can't *p* in....and hunt out the calor gas stove.:o

    Well my cooker is electric, so it may still be operational if things get dicey. My heating won't be... :rolleyes:

    Might get one of those halogen heaters then...My cooker is electric, so we won't starve there! If i had no kettle for a cup of tea...:eek:Was thinking of the calor gas for our old heater and our local chippie keeps going even if there is an electric power cut:rolleyes:

    Well you just need a way to cook food/see in the dark/keep warm if either gas or electricity or both are cut.

    I remember those days. I think all the old coal seams will be opened up again too. There are lots of open ones near to my neck of the woods.

    Off to look for Oldstyle methods of candle making, there was a shortage in the seventies and of sugar and of spuds ( the weevil struck)...oooh we are in trouble ( said in best caretaker voice off Harry Potter):eek:
