A few people have said that they are switching to Waitrose, better products etc.
However, when I have done a comparison shop on My Supermarket Waitrose can come out about £20 more expensive.

Their food is good quality, pretty much all their meat is British. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Their fresh desserts are yum too0 -
Okay, well unfortunately both the replies don't swing it, I am on a diet and chocolate and desserts are not on the menu. As much as I would like them to be.:D
I am actually talking online shopping here. I spent a fortune last month and I am trying to do a weekly online shop and keep it under £100.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

If I lived nearer a Waitrose then I'd definitely use it more. I find that their fruit and veg lasts for far longer than Asda or Tesco, and I think that their meat is very good quality. They have a good range of general cooking ingredients too, and I like their own-brand cleaning and laundry stuff, and their toiletries. It is dear though ... have you thought about a Sainsbury's online shop? I use Sainsbury's a lot as I think the stuff is generally way better quality than Tesco, and I find their offers are generally on things I want to buy. Asda's ok, but their offers tend to be mainly on 'junk' (crisps, biscuits, ready sauces etc) so I started using Sainsbury's more and I'm finding it better. Fruit and veg isn't bad there either. Their value range is pretty good too.0

Problem is that I save the points. I am currently saving for 5 flights to Florida and to help me I have a Tesco Clubcard Credit Card and I have just started using the Tesco Clubcard Plus for exclusive use in Tesco.
Plus the Sainsbury's near us is small and I like to shop in a large store. Also its much further away from me.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

All Sainsburys' fresh meat is British IIRC (even their basics meat). They also only use British meat in their own-label pies, soups, party food and ready meals.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

thanx for that iv shopped in sainsburys for years and didnt realise that....op if u are happy with where u are shopping id keep going there...u could try 1 shop in waitrose to see if u are missing anything and take it from there...iv been to waitrose twice...its miles away and found the quality to be great...the staff a bit overly pleasant to be honest and the prices:eek:...ill be sticking with sainsburys with forays into asda and tescoonwards and upwards0 -
Waitrose = The fresh food last longer, the aisles are wider, no crowding of trolleys, the staff seem sincerely frindly and genuine, the offers are not just on junk food, no badly behaved children running wild with fishwife mothers screaming after them.0

According to This Story, in March 2008 Morrisons were able to claim they were the only one of the ‘big four’ supermarket chains that has all its fresh meat and poultry supplied 100 per cent from British sources. So unless things have changed since then, Sainsbury's fresh meat is not all British sourced.
Sainsbury's do make the specific claim that All Sainsbury’s SO organic fresh meat comes from British farms.

Have you tried Ocado? Waitrose goods, but all the branded goods (Heinz etc.) are priced matched to Tesco. Delivery slots of an hour and it is almost unheard of to get substuites, as it comes from a warehouse. The quality of the fruit, veg and meat is excellent, although more expensive than Tesco.0
