Sweet and sour sauce-
tomatoe puree
vinegar (malt vinegar is my preference but rice vinegar might work)
honey
I do quantities to taste, prob about 1:2:2 as a start. I also like lots of chopped ginger &garlic, a splash of soy and chilli if you fancy it.
cook the meat (marinate it in the sauce if you've time), chuck in the sauce until it thickens, throw in the veg.
Or a simple teriyaki sauce is basically soy, honey and lime/lemon juice. can't remember quantities but you can find it on BBC food websiteMortgage Outstanding Nov '16 £142,772.75Mortgage Additional OPs 2017 Target £4522.80/ Actual £865.00GC Feb 0/£2000 -
I too wondered if anyone had any recipes I currently buy stir fry sauces in bottles I get a sweet chilli one and a lemon and pepper one (the lemon and pepper one is about £2:eek:). It is really easy to stir them into chicken and noodles but I would prefer to make my own.Moved in 12/09 Mortgage 126K0

I made a really yummy stir fry sauce recently (sort of satay sauce inspired):
Peanut butter
Soy sauce
Garlic
Water
Chilli powder (a little)

I make a good ginger and spring onion one.
Add a tbls of ginger paste and a tbls of garlic paste and fry in oil for 1 min.
Add 1/2 a mild green chilli (chopped)
add 1 or 2 spring onions (chopped)
2 tbls of light soya
1 teaspoon of chicken powder (knorr is good) or a stock cube.
4 or 5 tbls of rice wine or if you have rice vinegar 1 tbls should do.
add a little water and thicken with cornflour.0 -

Not something I cook, so I'll add your question to the recent thread asking just this question

My most basic recipe for stifried veg is soy sauce and honey. Just add to taste. Sometimes a bit of sherry is nice too.0
