Bailiffs do not have a great deal of powers. I'm surprised Charlie hasn't been around to gloat on that one!

As Mark said earlier, they cannot take the car due it being on private property. I doubt they could take it anyway without further court orders.

He will not get his license taken away - in csa booklets, he is an exception due to needing it for a living.

Prison is an option - it is his choice if he is stupid enough to let it go that far.

Seizing from bank accounts comes in August.

oh my god what the hells been going on on my thread while ive been out,
Thank you to the people that answered my original question, i know it may have sounded like i was on a witch hunt but thats not the case, i have given my ex so many chances to sort this out but he throws it back in my face every time, and now its come to this, and yes i do want them to take his car away so that the debt gets paid off then its done and dusted, if the baliffs have no luck with it then theres a chance that he will either have his licence taken away or be sent to prison, which is NOT what i want,

Ruby, you do not have to justify yourself to anyone, least of all small minded and judgemental prats. The "points" he's placed on the thread only serve as a further factor of his level of immaturity. I have an NRP who I'd gladly see go to prison, and rot there. He actually may be going there within the next few months, not connected to the CSA. I can't go into intimate detail at the moment though as it is subject to ongoing legal proceedings for which I am a witness for the prosecution. I'm aware him going to prison would stop any payments of child support but after what he has done to our children and to me, I don't care. The safety of our children will always come first. I have had a terrible experience with the NRP, but I do not for one second think all NRP's are like he is despite having an awful experience, and it bloody annoys me when I see PWC all tarred with the same brush and witch hunted by NRP's NRPP's simply for seeking their entitlement to financial support for their children. Some don't stop to think that there are some PWC who endure sheer hell for their children, no matter what the cost, and not all NRP's are hard done by either. You have sought the entitlement for your child and are prepared to fight for that entitlement. There is absolutley nothing to justify. Keep fighting it hun. x

Actually, I live in MY home, not his - I was not justifying myself, simply pointing out to Ruby that I know what it is like from the perspective of a parent who has had no choice in the matter. I harbour no guilt, I have done nothing wrong other than getting involved with a man who turned out to be a violent bully when I was too young and naive to know any different.

So do I live in my own home, as you have discovered yourself, people end up being PWC or NRP s for a host of reasons, we have all been to naive to know any better at the time, but we can't change the past or what has been done, we make choices that suit our own circumstance not ones that impress the readers on mse or elsewhere :A

ok so from what ive heard the bailiffs wont be able to take his car as its on private property, so if the bailiffs send it back to the csa what will happen next? as my ex doesnt own any property, he is working but i dont know who for and the csa have already told me they cant do a trace through the inland revenue unless they have some information to go on, so what would be the next likely step? any ideas?

you or a friend have a couple of drinks in the pub where he leaves the car when you know he's away and ask where "XXXX" is as you have seen his car in the car park, if you are lucky they will just blurt out he off working for X company or where he's working

really depends how far you really want to push it for a few hundred quid
