A Payment A Day Part 4

So OH gets a wage advance as a way of an apology for the inconvienence.
The last 3 pay days they didn't add onto his what was owed (neither the pay pay or the hours he was due) which is why the shopping was going on cc.
Then they announced that he was only due 8 days of paternity pay and they still haven't paid the hours he missed out on but they want the cash advance back and the extra paternity leave pay.
I really hope that makes some kind of sense as it's quite complicated!
Sorry, I didn't realise he worked for them!
Sounds like his payment has got "lost in the system" - that old chestnut.
How annoying
I wonder if there's a way you could dispute his loss of earnings (especially with a new baby) and let them know you've had to rely on CC's and poss get the interest paid
Maybe Danko will be along later - she might know more - but it seems to me that you're suffering due to their computer/human error...0 -
BTW - I've had 4 choc Hobnobs today - bless me father for I have SINNED!0

I know I shouldn't laugh but lending you 80p is really tight fisted!! Are you sure he's not a secret MSE user??
Bless him - he didn't know what hit him! We're supposed to be paying our venue deposit tomorrow and I've threatened not to bring my cheque book!
I don't think it's him being tight - he's just a bit thoughtless at times! And although he's happy about the wedding tips and for me advising him on budget transfers etc, he won't sign up on here.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

My OH will be jealous! He LOVES them, but we can only get them from the really expensive British shops here.
Although, I did manage to get some dark choc hob nobs for his birthday later this month. 4 packs!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Ah thanks. I managed to knock off a fair bit by selling stuff still in the UK. I had 2 TV's there, bed, wardrobes etc etc.
I didn't bring them with me as the cost of transporting them was astronomical! I owed about 1600 to my parents, but they wanted to keep a lot of the stuff I had as it is good quality. One of the TV's was nearly new too, so....they bought some of it from me, along with other bits toing and froing. To be honest, both my Mum and I got completely lost with what I owed, what I had paid, what I had sold to them etc! lol
Had a chat with Mum on Weds night and she 'decided' that the total was now only 700. I think she's just being nice, as always!
So...I plan to make a big dent on the rest of the debt, pay back the 700, but then, sometime in the future, when I can afford it, I want to treat her and my Dad to a mini break away.
I really am very lucky to have such wonderful parents.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hi there
I would love to join the PAD thread. I have been readint he posts and figure a small payment a day to anything that results in reducing debt is the overall idea? I plan on "making" a sealed jar tonight and will start that off with £1. Does this count? Also, when you report what you PAD is, does someone tot them up or is the idea to let everyone know and help others use it as an incentive to complete theirs?
one last thing - i have stumbled across an old purse of mine which has £20 worth of post office stamps in it (don't ask - i certainly won't be letting it happen again where I don't know where my cash is!) and I wondered if they are still used and what can I use them for as I pay everything by direct debit now....)
Thanks in advance for the answers I hope to get.
Good luck all

Saturday -£1
Sunday -£1
Monday -£1
Tuesday -£1

Have a good day everyone, off not to get some housework done... woopie!

Hello!!
Welcome to the mad world of padding!
I still use stamps to pay my car tax so I'm sure you'll still be able to use them!
Your daily pads can be to whoever you want them to be but could you put them in BOLD, COLOUR or BIGGER than the rest of your post so it makes the daily total easier to calculate! xStarted PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
Aim for 2011 - pay off car loan £260.00 saved
