    Hi everybody :)

I'm feeling much better today, thanks for all the nice messages yesterday. Have been back to work and back to the gym  it nearly killed me after 2 days off! Have had a good day diet wise tho, have any of the other losers tries this site http://caloriecount.about.com/ it's quite good but it's such a faf putting everything in. I may or may not continue with it! It says that today I have eaten 740 odd calories and burnt off 2047. Personally I think their figures are a bit off (740 cals for 3 ryvita and philly, 3 chocolate truffles, 2 nice biscuits and a spanish omelette?) but it looks good!

No PAD as per usual I'm afraid.

Something that has annoyed me today tho... some have you might have read that I've been after a 0% balance transfer card and been declined for 2 of them. Well I got some junk mail today (obviously triggered by my searches) from MBNA offering me a platinum plus card with, yep you guessed it, 0% on BT's till July 2010! I'd never get accepted for that and even if I tried, the card I already have with A&L is MBNA! Idiots, why don't they check these things?!

    Have a good eve everyone!

    xx

I was on the CC board a few weeks back and found out that (apparently!) you can have up to 4 cards with MBNA...you might get accepted!

Evening all, welcome to any newbies.Sorry to hear your not having a great wk Njk,I had a parcel arrive from ebay yest but the item was completely smashed to pieces.I rang po to complain as it was really well wrapped so I'm convinced someone dropped/threw it at the depot.Luckily the seller was really lovely about it and gave me a refund straight away.I feel sorry for her though as she now has no money and no item.I sell too and I have noticed that ebay is a bit one sided and favours the buyer recently.Hope it gets sorted soon.
So here we are-that would be a rotten trick from your cc company but I wouldnt put it past them-fingers crossed for the outcome.Angelicmary well done on getting that card under £100,your doing fab!
My pad today is 50p.Take care everyone

Do any of you guys get child or working tax credits? I posted in a thread earlier and I'm really annoyed at some of the posts on there now.

I don't really think I should be !!!!ed off about it but I feel like (although no-one replied directly to my posts) I was being attacked for getting tax credits...maybe I'm just over-sensitive but the general vibe I'm getting from the thread now is that people only have kids to play the system so they can but plasma screen t.v's!

Oh, and thanks Twinkles...it'll be dead and buried before the weekend is over!!

It's on the DFW boar5d Flower, it starts off o.k (just like many threads) but gets a bit debatey. I don't even know why I'm annoyed!

Hi Angelic - i had a look at the thread and to be honest i wouldn't bother responding. People seem to get so heated about things they know nothing about. I don't think we'd see many people refuse money they were told they were entitled too.

Let them get on with it hun xxx

Hi Angelicmary, I have been reading the thread you are on about with interest. When my daughter was little they had just started a scheme and to be honest we just missed the boat by a £1. My SIL has never worked in her life and 18 years later still doesn't and it really annoys me BUT there is a big difference between people getting what is due/entitled to and milking the system for all they are worth, my SIL had her BF living with her but claimed he wasn't, etc etc the list is endless.

I think the thread started as a genuine "how come"type but has been turned into an anti-benefit thread, hence why I decided not to post on it.

    Take no notice :smileyhea
