PAD of £80 today, again to Virgin. Had some 'left over' dollars from my last trip to NY sitting on my desk - when I counted there were actually 138!!! of them. Didnt realise there was so much, so off to the post office for me it was, and £77.68 in my pocket, straight across road to bank, paid in and rounded up and onto the CC:beer: nice little boost, and a good reason to carry on tidying- who knows what else might be lurking!!!

Remember when this happened to me. Found £150 worth of leftover dollars. Unfortunatly this was before my LBM :(

So do i just add extra money to a bill and clear that one and then start another, we have 2 loans but i don't know if it is beneficial to pay extra to them each month, a credit card, and two catalogues. I haven't worked out how much is owed yet but it is probably about £20,000...sounds pretty bad now i've written it down...Please HELP and by the way can i join?

Welcome to PAD of course you can join.

What you pay off is up to you but you will need to check whether you can overpay the loans sometimes you have to save up and pay it off in one lump sum also you need to ask how the interest is calculated sometimes it is all added at the beginning so it is not worth paying off earlier. With regard to your other debts the most efficient way is to pay off the debt with the highest interest rate first and just pay off the minimum on the others until it is cleared and then use those payments to pay off the next highest. Other people like to pay off the smallest debt first to give them incentive to pay off the rest. You need to decide what suits you best. Some people make an online payment to the debts every day even if it is only pennies others save in money pots and pay off when they have saved up a bigger amount. It all counts all we ask is that you put your payment in large print, bold and colour so that it is easy for the person adding up the daily totals to see.

Welcome to the madhouse we are all very friendly here.

why dont you try www.whatsthecost.com Go to 'snowball', Add all your info then update it every day once you've padded. That's the easiest way I find to keep track of my payments as it can take 3-4 days for my cc account to update.

Thanks nikki02, didn't realise i could do that, will pop off and have a play around on it.

But whilst i'm here another £20.53 for me today.
