    Aw thanks FF :j

Angelicmary, yes I think they do if you apply for too many too quickly which is why I'm not sure whether to bother or not. I hadn't applied for anything card for a good year, checked my credit file and everything was green. So about a month ago I applied (and was declined) by Abbey, and then I applied online with HSBC through the internet banking thing (and declined again) :rotfl:

It would just be nice to have a cheaper rate to get this A&L card paid off quicker, as it's at 24% at the minute and most of what I pay off is just swallowed up by interest. I know thats what happens with a cc, but in Martins articles, and when you ask on the CC board, they make it sound so easy to just 'transfer the debt to a cheaper card'!

Yeah I know what you mean, I'm lucky enough to have never defaulted on anything or missed payments but I was still turned down for a RBS cc which was a real biatch cause I really wanted it!!

24% is really high! Do you have any other cc's that might offer you a good deal to BT?

I know how you feel. I so wish we could get a balance transfer but both mine and OHs credit rating isnt great.
Our interest is at 19.9% at the mo, but as of next month the lovely HSBC have put it upto 27%, our min payments will hardly cover the interest!!

Little PADs of £1 now for me as am skint, DD's birthday party this weekend and got a lovely letter from DVLA today reminding me that the Car Tax for my old shed will be £190 for the year! Gutted! It's a W reg so not mega old, but not old enough for the Gov scrappage scheme (not that I could afford a new car anyway - even with 2 grand off!)... Hey Ho

What's the child tax prob Angelic? I've had both, so might be able to help and promise I won't judge! ;) Try me....

    Take Care all, Mac x

Flower I stopped at 1, she is my darling and a sweetheart (18 today she is) My hats to anyone who had more than 1..................scaredy cat :p back at ya

35 b****y %, I wouldn't care but we have had the cards 6 years (one was a cashback card) and in all that time we have paid on time (sometimes min and sometimes more) except for 1 month in 2006 when the payment was lost in the post and these last 2 months, the interest started off at about 12% 6 years ago......................I actually believe that this should be made unlawful!!!!!!
