I am going to get back on track with the diet and saving money, so no more bought lunches.

I have spent today preparing the week's lunches for work and dinner for after work

Made coleslaw, potato salad, Greek salad, pasta salad

Defrosted some prawns and mussels to go with the salads. Also got tinned tuna , salmon and crab.

Boiled some eggs for tuna nicoise or posh tuna and egg salad for those who don't know what it is.

Made a salmon, cod and prawn pie topped with potato for tomorrow, lasagne for Tuesday. Already thinking about Wednesday - possibly haggis.

I need to re-focus and perhaps my ramblings will also help someone else.

    Speak soon
    Gilly

no gilly ..your ramblings haveonly made me feel hungry¬!!

honestly.. ty ..menu planning not only saves money, but saves so many rows about what to eat & who's turn it is to cook ..ty

Whenever someone says they are paying the taxman I want to boo as though a pantomime villain has just entered stage left.

This is what The Taxman looks like in my head:

Big one for me today as min payment for credit card as come out. Total to 4 debts £56.58:j

This week is a momentus one for me financially. I graduated 3 years ago, taking with me one huge pile of debts. I've paid off several credit cards over the last few years that were built up as a student but I also had a graduate overdraft with natwest that when I graduated was at £2000 OD:eek: I've been paying it off in stages with no interest being added if I got it under certain levels at certain points. Well, by the end of this week I will have finally finished paying this off!!!:j:j:j

Then we can focus on paying off the credit card we built up getting married and buying a house!

    Hope everybody's feeling positive too,

    Muso x

    Morning everyone!

Just a £1 for me today. I'm cutting them back a little bit as I might be getting a trip to Italy in a couple of weeks - only for 3 days and most of it will be paid for but I'll need a bit of spending money. I feel a bit guilty really but it'll be a nice break and I haven't been abroad for a while so I'm just gonna enjoy it if it comes off.

    Have a good day all.
