Thank you - I didn't want to pay this amount and then have the direct debit taken aswell!! That could result in a disaster! :)

    hi nickynoo,

check on your loan astatement, i know my halifax loan - even if i pay off chunks, i still have to pay the total interest calculated at the beginning of the loan UNLESS I pay it off in one lump sum - then the "settlement" figure is without all the interest. - hope that helps.

The loan i have allows me to make lump sum payments without penalties just checked. I've worked out i'd save or pay off an extra £300-£400 over the 6month fixed % period. It's when the fixed period ends that i'm worried about. I'm still in two minds about what to do. If i thought i could clear the remainder of the loan in that time i would defo go for it but i dont think i'll even come close.

You do it how it works best for you some people make a payment every day even if it is only a 1p by internet banking to a CC others put it in a tin or box and save it up to make one payment off a debt or a card others make a payment into a savings account some count minimum payments as PAD others dont we have no hard and fast rules except please put your daily payment in colour/ or bold so that the adder upper (me this month) can see the amount clearly and once you join you can never leave:rotfl:

We are a mad lot but very friendly and if you happen to be on a diet we have a weekly weigh in as well run by Danko just highlight any weight loss you don't have to put your starting weight if you don't want to.

    Hi danko hellowave.gif ...

Have you got a Quidco account ? ....

Re : Scratchcards ..... Basically you need to open a Bingo account eg Littlewoods Bingo , or Take a break bingo ( there are loads more to choose from ) ..... they give you a free scratchcard everyday .....

Do you do any " daily clicks " on any websites ? ... there is money to be made on these ! ...

Danko you can also join virgin they have a free scratchcard, you are only supposed to have one st minver account eg littlewoods and they have a free scratchcard, the Take a Break scratchcard no longer pays out in real money only bonus money so you let it build up to a few pound and then play bingo and hope you win. As Terri says you should join through quidco for any cashback there is a thread on free bingo and scratchcards. For some strange reason I haven't been able to get on the littlewoods site since Friday keep being timed out

Ooo thanks Terri, thanks DT! :D I'm signed up with topcashback and spent hours signing up for stuff for the cashback last night and earned myself £4.06 but it still needs to be confirmed :rotfl: If you're with one cashback website, can you go for the same sign ups with say Quidco or another one? Free money is always good though! I'm building up on the yougov and ciao surveys pots before a payout...

Deffo going to try that link Terri, got to be worth giving it a go! :D
