    Hi All
Support groups can be good but I don’t see the point in forcing people to go! If there is support available for when you feel you need it, then great, but surely the point is to provide support for parents for when they decide they want it – not for ‘outsiders’ to decide.

Little Adam is only 6 weeks old, for heaven’s sake! Can’t Mummy just be left alone to enjoy her baby!

Unfortunately I had my Dad continually telling me that I shouldn’t need any help and that I should do everything and there was something wrong with me if I decided that DS would benefit from specialist provision. I also had him telling me that DS’s condition shouldn’t be used as an ‘excuse’ (for what exactly?!) and not accepting that there was anything ‘wrong’ with him. Grrrrr! If you get any of that (less likely with Downs than ASD, I admit) ignore it because it is b*ll**ks!!

I wrote to the doc telling her we're not going til we feel the time is right!
Everyone seems to be wishing Adam's wee life away!!

I've had my dad tell me to have another baby as soon as I can to 'take my mind of it'...must be a generation thing!!

Cool! Thanks Euro. I wonder how many of us will be sitting talking out loud to ourselves as we try to say the words and then wondering if we have got the accent right! :p

Trust me, you wouldn't be the only one!

It's words with the letter 'g' in it that always get me. I cannot pronounce them right, no matter how hard I try, I always sound like I am making a farting sound! hahahaha

Lucky for me, every other word has a 'g' in it! lol

Sorry i've not been about this month... been really busy applying and interviewing for jobs.

    Hello all.

I'm not very well today :( with nasty high temp and dodgy sinus so day off work today (no piggy tail growing yet though) At least I get to watch some DVDs on the beanbags once the tablets kick in.

Work will also be very impressed when I go back having learnt some Dutch! We have an office in Rotterdam...Cheers Euro. I only know one (very rude) phrase in Dutch which a mad girl from the Dam taught me when backpacking in Oz a few years back (yep, on the credit card :o)....but I will save it and post on an evening when the jokes are flowing (far too rude for 10am)

Sorry for outing you DT!! :rotfl::rotfl:

My PAD is £6 please DT, winging its way to Cap1.

Hi moneymaker. Hope the job news comes soon + best of luck !

Ah well then LondonAndy, you could always ask your colleagues "Hoe gaat het?" - How are you / how goes it.

But there's that pesky g again! lol. It's kinda like a 'h' sound to start with, but from the back of the throat. It's really hard to describe in words, you really need to hear it. But....you can always put it an email and then it doesn't matter! haha

I know a few rude phrases, but yes, they can wait until this evening! hahaha

Hi all, a pad of £29.50 today - £4 from pinecone to my Flooring fund, 50p to Barclaycard and £25 from my Virgin scratchcard to my overdraft as only getting half my wages on Friday.

Bit worried about how we are going to last until the end of the month - we will be back in the overdraft by a few hundred at least. :( We would have actually been out of it this month if I was getting a full wage. I should get two weeks wage from my new job at the end of the month though, so hoping that saves us!
