Oh congrats on PGCE offer, where are you doing it? primary or secondary - just be warned it can be hard work and quite emotional at times, but well worth itWell done :T to Danko on getting your PGCE confirmed, where will you be doing it and what age group? If you have a car, don't tell the University as you'll get sent on stupid placements, I had an hour and a half each way commute to mine because I had my own transport!Danko - that's great news about your offer :j I think the kids will love you!OoO ta very much everyone!
:j Y'all say such lovely things
I'm so chuffed though! The PGCE route I'm going down is for the new Creative and Media diplomas (14-19 year olds) so it's all new and all singing all dancing so not 100% sure what to expect yet!
Starting at Edge Hill as it's only about a 30 minute drive so not too far away for those long long days... They know about the car Silaqui - uh oh!I'm HOPING to be placed nearby but I ain't convinced at this stage especially if they placed you an hour and a half away! :rotfl:
If anyone's looking to sell their books and need some ££ then can I have first dabs??:rotfl:

Now I'm after some reassurances from you lovely supportive PAD people...:D
I was a naughty girl diet-and-gym-wise last week due to Take That concerts, and having all that marking to do etc and I KNOW I've put some weight back on(even though Danko was nice enough to put me down as staying the same...!)
I have got back on the wagon with the healthy eating and I was gonna get to the gym tonight, but the exam board have rang and said that there are more questions available for a 20% bonus if I complete them. The lure of the money is very tempting, can someone reassure me that it will be ok to stick with healthy eating this week and forget the gym till all the questions are done? I'd be a fool to turn down such easy money but I don't wanna get out of my weightloss routine as I've done pretty well (for me!)
Will you all shout at me and make me go to the gym when it's all done PLEEEASE!

Hi there everybody, I couldn't get on yesterday to post my PAD as I kept getting the power cut message, and being as the total has been done I'll post them both as today: pad is £76.77.

I can't remember much of the previous posts, I've just read through about 8 pages! but Well done :T to Danko on getting your PGCE confirmed, where will you be doing it and what age group? Angelicmary, good for you on standing up for yourself! My mates sister has cerebal palsy, spina bifida and all sorts of other things and we used to take her to one of these groups years ago, talk about depressing! In the end her mum refused to let us go and refused to take her because it wasn't in the slightest bit helpful.
Anyway, thats long enough now. Back later no doubt when I'm bored of marking!
XxHow was the Take That show?? So many people (blokes included!) have said it's been totally amazing! This rock chick was utterly bisotted with them back in the day...Bet you had a fab time
Good news about the extra marking maybe?Just think of the money with that extra 20% lot of moonay - just think of all those PADs you can make
Just grab a glass of wine and switch on auto pilot for the marking - I'd say forget the gym too but that's because I'm lazy :rotfl:

Thank you! I think the general concensis is to avoid 'support' groups like the plague...I just don't want to look like I'm not interested in his welfare if I keep refusing 'help'Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

I hate the gym. To me, it is an evil place and I lose interest before I even walk through the door. But, I know plenty of people love it too!
I'm much more of 'play sports' kinda person as I find it fun and interesting, so then I don't think of it as a chore or just exercise. Not that I actually play sports at the moment so I'm not entirely sure why I'm even typing this.....hahahaha. I need to join a sports team or dance class or something next month.
I would suggest doing the extra marking for the extra cash. You can always still be active without the gym, ie, walk the stairs instead of taking the lift, get off the bus a stop early and walk the rest of the way, go for a walk, go for a bike ride (if you have one - which I don't, which is really stupid as I now live in Holland! Another to do for next month!) etc etc
Most of those things you can incorporate into your usual day so doesn't take extra time, but....you stay active and will feel more positive. And it helps if you have someone at work telling you to walk the stairs all the time. 6 flights!!!! I can barely breathe by the time I get to the top!!! hahaha, I am sooo unfit, yet still a lot fitter than I was this time last year!!February wins: Theatre tickets0
