    Ohhhh banks suck!

I messed up towards the end of last month and asked for a payment to be made to my CC, and had forgot that another 10 quid was also still to leave my account. The two combined would've resulted in me going overdrawn, so my CC payment request was never processed.

I foolishly didn't think anymore of it as I did not receive any notification of charges etc. And then today, boom! 35 quid debited from my bank account for charges, with a note next to it saying 'charges as notified'.

Soooo....I just called them, asked them to clarify what it was in regards to etc and explained that I had never received a notification, paper or electonically. They were adamant that I was notified until I instructed them to look at the paperless documents available to me. There is nothing after an account statement on 7th June!

DumbA*sses! They messed up and so they are now refunding the charge! YAY!

Thank God for that, I still have a Virgin CC minimum payment to make!

Anyway, after that nasty start to the day, I am going to be cheerful and forget about it.

    Have a good day all!

    xx

    Hi All

    Happy Hump Day!

I found out yesterday that it is possible to make overpayments to my LTSB loan. I won't be doing it yet - I have got a holiday to pay for first - but I intend to make that the target of my PADs in the very near future. It is a bit of no-brainer really - the APR is one of my highest (6.9% I think) and the payments are £182.23 a month. Imagine how much more debt busting I could do if I got rid of that!

Anyway, in the meantime, today's PADs are £1.08 to Abhorrent Amazon Halifax and £5.08 to Evil Egg, making a total today of £6.16

    Morning All!

Silaqui we've been telling people that for 6weeks now!!

Sashanut congratulations on the huge pad!!

Twinkles hope your tiny wee bambino is behaving and not making you feel too sick!!

Paul those bits of paper that come through the door are a bit strange...they seem to ask for money for month!!

I've got to go and get nappies today, ASDA were 'out of stock' (how can any supermarket run out of nappies??) so now I've got to go to the nearest big town and get some as the Tesco here don't stock the smaller ones...can't have DS lying around with no nappie on! complete waste of time and petrol so I'm slightly cheesed off!!

Feeling alot better today...the £3.71 a box flu powders (can you tell I grudged paying that much??) must have worked a little bit but had an early night so sleep must have helped aswel!

Anyway, enough of my waffling, pad for me today is £5.00 please DT, your cake looked fab, hope it was tasty!

Have a great day everyone xxx

Hi all, another 50p to Barclaycard today, twiddling my thumbs waiting on my cheque clearing.

On a brighter note the Cat Lair should be coming tomorrow or Friday at the latest. :j So once it's built I will take some pictures and post them up, complete with furry faces playing on it.

Nice buy with the curtains the_missis, where did you get them from? I am desperate for some curtains for my bedroom as in winter it is freezing!
