    Hiya all :hello:

Had a bit of a  moment this morning... logged onto smEgg to look at my statement, and see that they barstools have charged me int at 16.9%, not the 6.9% that I should have been getting for my BT! I wondered why the BT fee hadn't shown! So out of protest, and because I can actually afford to thi smonth, I have paid the damn thing off!!:D

    Sx

Well done on clearing your card Sarah ..... that's great ..... even though it was in " protest " ! ;)

    Hi folks

Well after an evening of number crunching I know exactly where I am and its horrific, even though I have paid off two cards I have manged to overspend last month and am now worse off than I was in January :mad: Its my own fault as although I have been faithfully PAD, since I had my operation in March I seem to have gone a bit off the rails with spending. So need to get back on the debt free bandwagon asap. have made an action plan which is:

    1. See if I can BT my A&L account - low interest period has come to an end and they are charging £80 interest next month:eek: so need to clear that somewhere asap.
    2. BT my M&S card to somewhere else as its got all my holiday spending on it and I need to move that to a card with a lower rate and then cut the M&S card up.
    3. Start the grocery challenge again and make sure I stick to it. Make more meals from scratch again - got a bit lazy recently.
    4. Start the NSD challenge again and stick to it.
    5. Get back on the weightloss challenge on here.

Righty ho thats the plan of action so now just need to stick to it.

Anyway on to the important part. My PAD will all go towards my overdraft which if I can get the other two cards BT will be the only debt I have with interest rate in double figures.

PAD for Friday was £3, Saturday £2 and today £2, Total was £7. Now I am off to change my signature.
  • thanks terri - nice to be on board.

Could someone please tell me about the free scratchcards?
    TIA

Basically ... some of the bingo sites give you a free daily scratchcard ... Littlewoods bingo for example ... they are all guarenteed winners ... from 10p upwards ... the money you win from this bingo site goes into your cash balance and once you have just over £10 in there you can withdraw it ...

If you open an account , do it through Quidco .... you will need to deposit £10 into your account first .... but fingers crossed you should receive that back through cashback .... sorry i'm really knackered and don't think i'm explaining this very well ... does that make sense ? If not i'll try again tomorrow for you !

  • hi everyone , i have been lurking around this thread for a while and would like to join , i like the idea of pad , i have recently managed over the past three months to pay almost £1000 off of debt and i really wanna keep this up , as its the most i have paid in a long time , although its a bit annoying that each time i pay a lump off of something the bloody credit card company lowers my limit so it doesnt feel like i am getting anywhere if you know what i mean , anyway i will post tomorrow with my pad and some more info on debts am not sure how to do it all though so bear with me !
  • Sunday PADs totalled

    Monday PAD is

PAD not made by bank (again)
PAD withdrawn as when they are made out of hours, they sometimes disappear into cyberspace.
DD went out for alternative PAD.
Abbey really do need to get their act together, and fast. The only reason I still do any business with them is because there is still some overdraft facility left if needed. If that even gets withdrawn (or I feel that I no longer need it), I will close all accounts at Abbey.
