They'll credit check everyone, but generally check that you can pay your utility bills, rather than your CC bills...

  • Hello everyone, can you tell me where I might find template letters.... I'm looking for 'stop calling me, and only communicate with me in writing' and 'I am setting up my own DMP and need to pay a reduced payment'

I have searched for a while but cannot see them

    Thank you

  • Thank you Rhian.... do you think it would be ok to hand write it as I have no ink for my printer, and can't afford to buy any yet? Also, should they be sent recorded? Or will snail mail do?

  • Thanks for that Cocker - they are really useful for us DMP beginners! Capital 1 seem the main offenders for the pestering phone calls...why, oh, why did hubby give them his work number?!

Welcome back Cocker, my you've been busy today!

    Cheers!!!

Had to get away from the whole "debt" thing for a while as it was taking over everything. Been spending much more time with the family rather than sat in front of the PC all night long researching my rights.

But i'm back now battling dodgy creditors and DCA's again!!! (Just not as constant as before!!!;))

Cant see why you couldn't hand write it. Perhaps mention that the reason for the hand written letter is because you have no money for ink and that their pestering is making the matter worse!

Personally I send everything recorded, so they cant say that they never received it when they really did. No names mentioned!!! (Coughs Lloyds under his breath!!!:D)

    Cocker:)
