It truly beggars belief.
I'm getting over it though, honestly...:o
The guy I spoke to this morning was so superior I could have been sick, a good job it wasn't in a branch or I would definitely ended up in one of her Majesty's hotels. Do you think they get extra points for being as awkward as poss? I'm seeing a pattern here, Lloyds very similar.:mad:More than Two Years in

That is so true, they must get extra pay for attending classes in that particular skill. The lady I spoke to actually said, " I'm speaking to you from ENG-LAND". Just like the fans chant it at internationals, but without the 'er' bit in the middle! Well, excuse me whilst I go back to my mud hut. If only I knew what a computer was I could email a timely letter to your Boss. Decided not to, as ignorance is its' own reward, and I should know!!!:rotfl::j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -

Chortle,chortle!!!
I live in North Yorkshire dear - shall I send you a map?
It all just makes me wonder how when we on here are so erudite and intelligent that we equate to pond slime but they are the ones toasting themselves in champagne with the latest bonus.
I sometimes have this fantasy that the 'cretin' at the bank suddenly has to deal with the day to day reality of living on our restricted budget.
Keep pegging at 'em - you're worth at least three of them every time :j

Have to agree with all the previous posts. All our creditors have been pretty OK with the whole DMP process but Halifax have been unbelievable!! Phone calls at least once a week usually late at night or early on a weekend morning. Rude and aggressive on the phone asking us to make payment - I would say the same thing over and over but they kept ringing...
Eventually we changed our number and complete heaven..... no phonecalls! One week later a VERY snotty letter saying they have been trying to contact us and we MUST provide a contact number so to ring them with it :rotfl:I think not!!!
They sold debt onto Moorcroft soon after and after an initial hard time from them too it has all gone blissfully quiet!!! Jan 2008-Paid 74% of debt as of MAR 2012 (DFD - APR 2014) DMP Support Thread Member 154  DFW Long Hauler 116:grin: Official DFW Nerd Club 928- Proud to be dealing with my debts :grin:0 -
Can I ask a stupid question?
I have cancelled all my non priority dd's this month on the advice of cccs and am in the process of getting everything swapped to a new account. My DMP is due to start on 1st April and dd's mostly go out on first of the month so really 2 months going to be missed (march and april), so i believe i need to send goodwill payment in the meantime. But i don't know how? I don't have a cheque book, and can't phone and make a card payment obviously so don't realy know what i'm supposed to do?
Also am concerned that although i've cancelled loan payment to natwest that they can reinstate it and if they take their money this month then priority dd's (gas, electric, water, tv, all go out on the same day) will not get paid?
Worrying a bit about this so any help would be appreciated. Maybe i need to ask cccs?
TIA
EDIT: Yay look at me with my shiny new sig!!
Hi Hazel,
Have you received your pack from the CCCS? If so there are template letters in there which you can send with your token payment.
alot of people send postal orders which can be costly but also send the letters recorded delivery so you know that they have arrived. i also kept copies belt and braces.:D
do be a little careful with were your money is for the moment. I cancelled my loan DD but my still had a overdraft on the account which i had cleared. The bleepers (RBS) took my loan payment from my OD, even though they had accepted the DMP. Fortuantly they paid it back in and my current account is now frozen which i dont really care about as am now with Nationwide.
If you are worried maybe you could cancel your DD's with your priority bills and pay them directly over the phone/internet/transcash slip. If you ring those companies they are usually quite helpful on the phone.
Good luck with everything, it is hard but your on the road to being DF like the rest of us now.:T
oh and no question is silly!!x0 -
Hi, shamelessly posting here too. I found another thread but was directed here too.
I've not read through yet, will read the last few pages. Basically CCCS won't help as i have messed them around last year so i'll be administrating my own DMP. Are others on here doing this too?0 -

I do my own DMP. The CCCS started me off with how much I have to pay each company and I have stuck to my guns and paid that amount. I have had a good start and now in my 2 year of a 10 year plan, with a little trouble on the way.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

Ooh that's good to know
I must admit i'm not the most organised of people so i think i'd better get myself sorted.
I've just been playing around with a spreadsheet i've started on, and it's given me a debt free date of Jan 2015. Seems so far away - but i hate myself really because if i'd stuck at it with my original CCCS plan i'd have been clear by next year0 -
Thanks for replies. Got my bits through from cccs today with the letter to send to creditors so need to photocopyithat a few times and get it sent. Will pop over to the post office and get postal orders for goodwill payments i think as i ahev no other way of making payment at the moment. Just been told its going to take 3 weeks to get my name put of my husbands basic bank account so a bit stuck with that now. A rougue dd left my natwest account ot BT today too! Thats taken me over overdraft limit so i'm expecting a bit of hassle from them now. CCCS advised that i phone Natwest and explain situation and ask that they don't reinstate loan dd as this will mess things up even further.
Really wan tthis sorted now.Make £10 a day challenge Oct : 0/310
