Hi all,
Hope it is a wonderful sunny day with you, certainly is here and been out, "playing / teaching", with water rockets this morning.
I have just started to receive my monthly statements from creditors and becuase my first payment from CCCS doesnt go to them until the 25th I have decided to contact all I havent heard from confirm they had received the DMP correspondance from myself and CCCS.
Well, asda credit card have said they dont have anything so contacted CCCS to resend and citi cards said they will accept if I pay an extra £7/month. Do they really think I would be so unfair to my other creditors!!!!! So will just have to wait and see on that one. Still waiting to get replies to my emails from Egg and Barclaycard. I did get an initial email from Barclaycard to say that they are very busy and it has been passed to the relevant department.
All in all things are ok and just waiting to see what my response to the first full and final is as it would be so good to get the little ones done and dusted.
Take Care All.

Afternoon all
Joyous news!!! :j
Hubby claimed for his missold PPI with N/Rock & they have admitted to miselling & are paying us £3500!! and not into the loan but straight into our bank a/c!!!! OMG!!!!
now - do pay off some arrears with our 8 creditors (drop in the ocean too be honest)
((We haven't defaulted yet with N/Rock - DMP due to start in Aug - so can keep them happy for a few months))
or do we get stuff that we desp need - like a new oven (ours make the loudest noise in the world and is 'unfixable' ) & then just keep the rest as emergency??
i cannot believe this has happened - i have PPI with all my cc's - i am now going to be firing letters off straight away!!
If ANYONE has PPI - RECALIM IT BACK!!! me & hubby are not self employed but because we have income protection with our Mortgage - this is why we thought we would try to claim & it worked!!
i'm off on hols tomorrow - a week in the Peak District with parents & family - might be able to have a meal out now!!
see you all in a weeks time
sasMassive !! LBM June 09 - Debts [STRIKE]£70k [/STRIKE] now £63k (PPI Claim succesfull)

Morning everyone,
Havent posted much recently, still be reading every day though, becoming a unhealthy obbession me thinks....
Any who-thought I would just update my situation...
First Payment went to creditors this month via pay plan-havent really had much contact from them in the past few weeks(fingers crossed)
Next were first to accept DMP (which I thought was great considering what I have read on here)
HFC (sofa) accepted and then Abbey, even though they are sending me letters to say that I have missed a loan payment-guess it is automaticly generated
MBNA loans keep sending me letters even though I have spoken to them a few times and explained my situation-again automaticly generated letters-have sent CCA request letter on Tuesday so am hoping will get a reply on that soon, also sent one to Abbey just for my records-if they both cant supply or dont reply will be sending the second letter
MBNA c/cards keep adding interest and charges..ggggrrrrr..:mad::mad::mad:..hoping this will die down in a few weeks
Worst have been natwest-piling on the charges and interest for the Overdrafts on accounts we have-have asked them to down grade account as I was paying for a account with extras that I didnt even use!! Sent letter last week asking to stop the charges and interest and also down grade-still waiting for a reply
A couple of credit cards are on line accounts and we have been frozen out of these so no way of knowing what the hell is happening there...
the rest have been pretty quiet to be honest-hoping this will stay the same(not going to put all on here incase they try and be slippery and read the threads u never know...)
As said, going ok at the moment, but in a few months will have to reduce payments by half as my OH is going on Mat leave and her package at work is terrible,so I reckon I will start getting more letters about that......probably will be the reduced payments for a while but hoping my money will go back up while she is off(had to take a pay cut a few months ago) and then start paying more and hopefully when the company starts to recover from the recession(which it is slowly) then I may get a bonus and that will go towards FF settelements....
Thats it,the thing that is filling my head at the moment is the prospect of looking after a little person soon(scary stuff) All good though
And a big welcome to newbies and oldies that havent posted for a while
I know it has been said many, many times, but starting a DMP was the best thing that I have done-actualy sleeping at night now(well until the baby arrives anyway:rotfl::rotfl:)
Top Man Jaybag
I too know how you feel about sleeping better at night, now the DMP is running.

Hi Tottalylost.
A CCA is either a Credit Card Agreement, or the Consumer Credit Act. I think in most cases it's the former, and you can request a copy of this to see if your debt is enforceable. See Cocker or Geoffmr1? for advice on this...
This can be slightly confusing as it can mean two things!
The Consumer Credit Act 1974 can be shortened to CCA1974.
But in the majority of posts in the thread and if relating to a request for a CCA, it stands for Consumer Credit Agreement.0 -
Just a quick update, I still haven't received my welcome pack from CCCS as yet but I have received my first acceptance from one of my creditors today, so at least I know things are on the move :jDMP mutual support thread member:3270

Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help & advise me please? I have £48550 in debts & have contacted Payplan, who have been great. I feel I could offer around £850 per month & would hopefully be debt free in 4yrs 9 months, I think I would have around £250 per month spare then to put away. I'm a bit worried about having some spare money to use for any emergencies with my car (I travel a fair distance to work) & for any house repairs & of course I could offer any F & F settlements also. I guess what I'm asking is, is that reasonable or should
I be offering more to my creditors, but what happens if something goes wrong as I won't (& definately don't want) have any credit facilities, what do you think??
Any advice much appreciatedTotal Debt July 09 48k:( DFD 20140 -
For all you people starting DMP's, it's really liberating. In about a year and a half I've cleared £12k, only £18k to go.DFD - June 20120

Hi can I just clarify ........ I know it has been asked a thousand times already ....... and probably will again a thousand times more ........ but ......
Once I receive my welcome pack from CCCS, I send my token payments of £1 (postal orders) to each of my creditors, along with the letter in the welcome pack, ....... can I also include my request for copy of CCA to save money on recorded delivery charges?Slimming World Newby 75.5lbs for starters, another 75lbs after that!:rotfl:One small step for me one giant leap for my backside!;):rotfl:
