My head is a bit twirly with all of this now! I'm just so angry that they can be so pig headed when they are making more out of me now than ever before. Hurumph!!
Thank you for the suggestion though - I think that should work (anyone think otherwise - if so please tell me!)

I'd be very careful about making a double payment. It could work or on the other hand you could find them saying if you can afford to pay double once you can afford it every month even if it is a struggle. Personally I wouldn't do it, but I can also understand why you'd be tempted to in the hope they would stop the charges.
Maybe you could write to them & make the suggestion of a double payment as long as they confirm in writing they wouldn't then expect that monthly as you cannot possibly afford it & that the charges would stop. Tell them that the money would be from a friend or family member.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -

I'm sure they can't send bailiffs until they've actually warned me or given me some kind of paperwork?!! 6 months into a DMP seems pretty early... maybe the 'out notice' they left was just some spotty teenager handing them out with his paper round....
It's not been sent to their in-house DCA yet either...
Please advise.......

It wouldn't be bailiffs unless a creditor has managed to get a court order against you without you knowing. If you can, check your credit file because that will tell you if you have a ccj against your name.
It's more likely to be a door step collector, I'd write & tell them in no uncertain terms that they are not welcome on your property & if they call again you will be on to the police.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -
hey all
just wanted to pop my head in & say ''hi'' -- haven't been on here for agggesssss & so many new names!!
been on the dmp for 5 months now & all going ok (ish) still having a mare with lloyds tsb cc (i really hate them now) have received an unenforceable agreement (def unenf - as lists my current address and i have moved twice since taking out that cc about 15 years ago.........) - sent off the next letter & have received back a very rude snotty letter sayng they will not correspond further on this matter!!!
give me strengh. as i'm still paying them on the dmp arrangement i pobbaly should see what happens next - they have defaulted me but not yet passed debt on to a dca - even though they threatened to a few months ago.
they are the only niggle in my head - otherwise i still say the dmp is the best thing i have done in years.
looking fwd to xmas - pressies bought & christmas party outfit-- thank you ebay!!! new Coast top for £10.00!!!! & its gorgoeus!!!!!!!! i was soooo happy i could have cried. (i'm a girl who used to think nothing of spending £100 in Coast for xmas & never wear outfit again)
but its nice to know i'm not alone in thinking that this will be our first xmas without spending on the cc's. Last year i cried in Jan as i knew by March i would have run out of credit on my cards & therefore that was it - the biggest LBM in the world.
anyhoo - - thats me for now
hello to everyone!!!!!! & lots of  over the coming weeks.

Hi everyone, just thought I would let you know that I spoke to Mercers today and they were really nice!! I spoke to a lady called Angela and she looked at both my Barclaycard accounts and said she didn't know why Barclaycard had passed them over as she could see that I have been making regular payments which Barclaycard have been accepting and she could also see that I spoke to someone about both of these accounts on the 6th November and that they added my payplan details so she said she would write some notes on each of the account s and pass them back to Barclaycard , she also apologised for the phone calls to me and said that she would put a note on to make sure I didn't get a call from a door step collector!! I was amazed!!!!!! Was gunning for a showdown lol!
Also wrote yet another letter to Barclays bank to request they take off my overdraft protection as they are still charging me for this, I also signed the letter as this is why they sent it back last time and I can't be bothered to play their little games! I just want it removed!!
Going to write a letter tomorrow to Mint and Tesco to request they stop charging interest, late payment and overlimit fee's asap!
Londonfraggle - I have also been contemplating making a few extra payments to a few of my cards as some are now quite a bit over the limit whilst they took their time stopping fee's etc but i'm also worried about doing this as it would leave me really short of money and also I thought they might think it was a bit funny that I all of a sudden had some random money from somewhere???
Also wanted to know, has anyone with Payplan offered full and final settlements or do they not suggest this - only becasue might be getting some xmas money from MIL and though I might be able to offer something to Mint as they are being a pain in the a**e and I only owe them £800 which is a drop in the ocean compared to some of them!!??!! Any thoughts or experiance would be greatly appreciated!Goal weight....lighter than when I started0 -

Thank you... there can't be a CCJ as they agreed to my DMP for the first three months, they sent a default notice last week. Reading yours and others advice methinks they're pulling a fast one.. amount 'overdue' is 50 odd quid due to decreased payments through CCCS... have contacted them and they're resending my budget to them as they thought I earn commission... news to me! Might just ignore it and let it settle for a few weeks... leaving no windows open in the meantime... :rotfl:

I paid about half of a 150 quid debt to pay off one of my creditors. Even then PP were wary as they say you're supposed to treat all creditors fairly, and F&Fing one over the others could be seen as preference to one creditor. Which makes sense I guess.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Hiya, can anyone help me!!!!!
Me and my husband have a DMP with Payplan and are paying are amounts every month.
We got a CCJ for one of out loans but they agreed with the amount we pay and thought that it would just carry on until we had paid it. Last week we received account statements for the account and they are adding at least £100 intrest every month onto the amount, and we only pay £67.20 every month to them!!!!!!!!!!!
can they do this????
Is there any way of stopping them doing it???

As this has been through the court, the Judge must have agreed the payments, they cannot continue adding interest.
I would write to them & ask them to explain why they are continuing to add interest. I would also forward a copy of that letter & your statement to the judge at the court where the CCJ was awarded & ask why they are allowed to continue adding to the debt.
In all honesty that advice really is just to cover yourself, I think you'll probably find it's just a mistake on the creditors part, which will be corrected as soon as you bring it to their attention.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -

Hmmm - very good advice, thank you. I will wait until I no doubt get another call from them (they called yesterday while I was in Lidl and put me on hold for 20 minutes then the line went dead!! After all that! Darned if I was going to call them back!) and then make that suggestion - and thank you for the idea of telling them a friend/family member giving me the money to make the one off payment I would never have thought of that.
