Hi Just gonna open a basic bank account but dont know which. Im with RBS who are they affiliated to? Any suggestions0/4500

RBS are affiliated to Halifax, Lloyds TSB, Black Horse (check it out on the internet)
Not sure about Natwest.
I was with LLoyds and am now with First Direct (affiliated with HSBC and HFC loans - just in case you had one of those!) I have found FD really helpful.
Barclays apparently have a good basic account?
Hope this helps!LBM - September 09 :TDMP start - November 09Total Debt - £42K :eek:They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that. ~Gardner Dickinson0 -
RBS owns Natwest
Bank of Scotland Halifax Black Horse ( Lloyds) are all together
RBS is seperate from Halifax BoS though£12 799 debt 16.10.2009 :eek:0 -
Hi Folks and fellow newbies!!
Still recieving LLoyds calls even though my DMP bod spoke to them yesterday! However, Norther Rock have agreed on my DMP payment as long as I send them a token payment for this month (posted that yest). They spoke to my DMP bod about 'does the customer realise that she will be defaulting her credit history, blah blah'. I think i already know that!!
So thats one creditor who had agreed! Just the rest to go!
Looking forward to a quiet night!! OH is cooking dinner so all i have to do absolutely Nothing!! :jLBM - September 09 :TDMP start - November 09Total Debt - £42K :eek:They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that. ~Gardner Dickinson0 -

sounds like loads of DMPs have started well - i'm still of the opinion its the best thing we've done - but now getting stressed as Lloyds are threatening all sorts of action - am on the case tho with the unenforceability route - really makes you stronger this business.

Natwest are definitely RBS as I was with them (and od is on DMP). My new account is with Lloyds who aren't linked to RBS. (However I'm not sure about the rumoured joining of them and HBOS and if that will affect anything?)
Coop might be your best bet. I think you can use the Post office to pay in to there too, not sure tho!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -

Hi Kudox, Sorry to hear about your uncle.
I never thought you sounded "male" haha! obviously you and I have the same sense of humour!
It's great you feel confident enough to take on your own DMP.
Out of 10 creditors, we have 9 confirmed as accepting DMP. The last 1, Sainsburys Visa, wrote to say that they are accepting lower payments, but had to issue me a default notice. Fair enough if that gets them on board.
It was great seeing TWO months of payments credited on Justabank today!
It feels like I've been looking at October's payments forever...:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480
